crocodile 8,000
The 2-hour documentary is nice...and with lots of really cool archival footage... but you get a real sense no one liked The Last Jedi...especially Daisy Ridley. Popular Post crumbs 14,306
Easy to forget. It was only the same franchise and a theme he used dozens of times in the newest score. Will, Pieter Boelen and thx99 1

Amer 2,097
Another good thing I picked up is that they [lucasfilm] have access to that BBC Williams'EMPIRE documentary. So once its decided to ever put this out in high quality dvd that would be great. Someday... Will

I've had that since the late 90s (on a CD-R), and have wanted a better version ever since. It's really the best Williams documentary out there, not only about STAR WARS, but in general, since it touches on several other scores as well (including IMAGES!). You can see JJ has the same shirt on throughout. So maybe like a token feature. Pardon the expression but JJ looks at Williams as if wants to swallow his dick whole. All the more insulting then than he butchers the score any chance he gets. _deleted_, Smeltington, Remco and 1 other 1

Popular Post TheUlyssesian 2,478
JJ in the editing room with moist eyes and hand on heart, "This music is so good sooooo good, really John has done such an amazing job.... Okay now this cue, chop the first 30 seconds, delete the last 45, get the 23 seconds from Empire and splice it to these 10 seconds, change the pitch and slightly speed it up but make sure it does not get in the way of that killer Foley effect of the plane flying.... But really, what a great job John has done." Holko, _deleted_, crumbs and 6 others 3

MikeH 768
Someone should do an in-depth interview with Ramiro Belgardt to get some technical insights into John’s process with the sequels. I’m thinking more about the day to day nitty-gritty details of them having to keep up with an ever-changing edit, decisions about tracking cues, the revision process, etc. JW’s pencil and paper process vs the ‘modern movie machine’ is really an incredible feat. crumbs and Will
