No Lost World references at least. Then again I am bad at recognizing stuff like that. Also it seems like the Fallen Kingdom theme has become Wu's theme for the film. The other question I guess would be is this CD or CDR? Let's also all remember that Fallen Kingdom had two tracks (at least?) that were only on the digital version. So who knows... Been waiting to hear the tail end of "In Contempt of Delacourt/Dance of the Atrociraptors" after Trevorrow shared a bit of it on his Instagram nearly 2 years ago. Da Plane and Da Cycle is a top tier Giacchino action cue. Loved every second of it. Overall, the score doesn't hit as hard as Fallen Kingdom's, but it was nice hearing Giacchino bring back so many of his themes from the first two films. Loved hearing the Family theme again. Though so far, his score for The Batman is still his best one this year. In just a few weeks, his Lightyear score will arrive and Thor: Love and Thunder after that! So no predator motif? T-Rex tremelo? Other than the bits in that one clip (which perhaps isn't even on the OST). Earlier ribbing aside, FK’s still a fun listen. Giacchino’s action writing is really corny in a way I find endearing in a monster movie context. My main gripe is that, compared to, say, Powell, he doesn’t intertwine his themes within the score nearly enough. That may be a very strong Powell characteristic, and while Giacchino has done some of this in the past (The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Tomorrowland, Star Trek 3), it is not something that most composers do it anyways.
