Ben Rice 2
Hello All, I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but didn't run across anything here pertaining to it. I've been studying this score, which is apparently a handwritten original for the end credits to Temple of Doom- https://www.docdroid.net/mcuy6gY/john-williams-indiana-jones-and-the-temple-of-doom-hand-written-score-sheet-music-partition-pdf However, there seems to be inconsistencies with the recording- for instance right off the top, the recording clearly has Tpts. unison playing the melody, but the score has harmonies in the horns. Is this score inaccurate or from a different cue? Thank you for your help.
Jay 37,346
The track called "Finale and End Credits" on the original OST album (retitled to "End Credits" on the Concord expansion) combines the first 0:32 of 12M2 Finale with the bulk of 12M5 End Credits; The actual opening of the end credits remains unreleased to this day. The track on the fifth disc of the Concord box set called "Return to the Village / Raiders March" is just 12M2 Finale complete, meaning that box set gives us those opening 32 seconds twice, but no actual opening of the end credits anywhere. Thank you so much! So if I'm following correctly, the only place to hear the music from the first 32 seconds is in the movie end credits itself? Jay 37,346
Yes, you can only hear the opening of the end credits in the film itself, however it isn't 32 seconds of the end credits that is unreleased, it is the first 26 seconds.
