On paper it is, but you can put in any random postcode and it lets you through. Or at least, it lets me listen live. I still get error messages when I try to listen to old programs. Not sure if that's just me or related to the geo-blocking.

This is so weird. They talk about Schindler's List being performed by the LSO in 2018, but then they go on and broadcast Perlman's version... Same happens with ET. Is the only recording of that historic event really Classic FM's subpar broadcast?!

Well I'd be a lot happier if Classic FM confirmed that the dynamic range compression was not present in their actual recording and that it was just a broadcast thing, and if the LSO made those truly glorious performances available in decent quality.

It's to be expected that it wasn't *recorded* with live dynamic range compression, but just broadcast this way. Isn't (traditional) radio where dynamic over-compression orginated?
