Some more of my favorite non-JW action cues...

James Newton Howard:

Jerry Goldsmith (not really "action" persay):

James Horner:

Danny Elfman:

John Debney:

Alan Silvestri:

John Powell:

Henry Jackman (the only RCP composer I tolerate):

Kazuma Jinnouchi (underrated VG composer):

I don't think anything tops the Battle of Hoth Medley for my favourite action tracks from JW, every time I listen to that sequence of cues it's like hearing musical fire from start to finish.

Other picks in no particular order:

  • I Can Fly Anything

  • The Falcon

  • The Speeder Chase

  •

    The Desert Chase

  • On the Belly of the Beast

  • Escape from Naboo

  • Zam the Assassin and the Chase Through Coruscant

  • Jango Fett Escapes

  • The Love Pledge and The Arena

  • The Battle of Yavin

  • The Quidditch Match (Prisoner of Azkaban)

  • Rescuing Sarah

  • In the Trailer

  • Visitor in San Diego
