For me, the best ever performance from Connery was in The Name of the Rose.

Karol

That, Indiana Jones and The Man Who Would Be King are his roles that left me the biggest impression growing up. I did not get to see his Bond films until much later. What a presence. Such charisma

One of my favourite Connery roles has always been The Great Train Robbery:

This is a good read:

Rest in peace Mr. Connery :crymore:

Sadly, there is still plenty of time for this hell of a year to find a few more reasons to deserve getting fucked.

I believe his is the fourth passing this year of an actor associated with the early Bonds:

Honor Blackman

Margaret Nolan

Zena Marshall ( could have been 2019).

At least two BEATLES are still with us😥

The tribute I posted yesterday on Facebook -

'It's a sad day.

My huge 007 fandom is not exactly a secret ... he is the 'original action hero', and probably my favourite fictional character of all time. And now the first big-screen incarnation of him has gone ... he had a long and successful career of course, but he'll always primarily be the best-ever James Bond to me.

I can offer no better tribute than his iconic introduction as 007.*

R.I.P. Sean Connery. Sleep well, Sir.'

*I included his Dr No intro via YouTube on the post.

A double-bill of his first 2 Bonds tonight, I think.

You posted a video with no explanation whatsoever. All I see is a picture of Sean Connery. I didn't click it. Fart provided actual information I could learn.

In Drax's defense, it's an embedded video entitled "In My Life - Sean Connery."

That's one of the tracks on the Wikipedia page.

It requires no explanation.

Scrolling through a thread where people are discussing Sean Connery, and then seeing an embed with that title, does not tell me it's a cover of a Beatles song done by George Martin.  It's just an image and 5 words.  So I didn't click it.  I don't know what else you want me to say.

I couldn't even tell you the last time I took a vested interest in any sporting event of any kind.  It's been years.  Just not my thing

Harrison Ford Pays Tribute to Sean Connery

“He was my father…not in life…but in ‘Indy 3,’” Ford said in a statement to Variety. “You don’t know pleasure until someone pays you to take Sean Connery for a ride in the side car of a Russian motorcycle bouncing along a bumpy, twisty mountain trail and getting to watch him squirm. God, we had fun — if he’s in heaven, I hope they have golf courses. Rest in peace, dear friend.”
