I feel I should have picked Jane Eyre or Dracula over The Cowboys, but the latter is just so much fun and memorable. But Jane Eyre is absolutely stunning, a shame there isn't more of it. Dracula I want to love and the recent re-release is great, although the sound still doesn't really do it justice despite best efforts.

Lol I didn't realize individual users votes were public... How embarrassing.... I'll be honest I haven't even heard of more than 50 percent of these :o others I just haven't gotten around to listening to.

I'd love to listen to every one of John Williams scores, but there are so artists/composers out there to listen to, there just isn't enough time!

Far and Away and Memiors of a Geisha are next on my list of John Williams scores to listen to.

Even though I dislike it (even in my whittled-down 20-minute something playlist), I love the fact that you love it! Any fans of Williams' 60s scores are ace in my book. Too few of them around these parts.

Doubly impressed that you got it signed. What did Williams say when you put it in front of him?

He sort of chuckled and said something to the effect of “that’s an old one.” I tried to balance it out by having him sign Jurassic Park…

Cool. I would have done the same, had I been given the opportunity. Have him sign JURASSIC PARK, but also something like JANE EYRE or IMAGES as the second one. Or NOT WITH MY WIFE YOU DON'T.

Well

THE REIVERS easily won the 60s.  The score with the second-most amount of votes (HOW TO STEAL A MILLION) got less than a quarter what THE REIVERS got!

DRACULA easily won the 70s.  The score with the second-most amount of votes (THE COWBOYS) only got half the votes DRACULA did.

The 80s was the first close race.  THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK only barely beat BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY.  Nothing else from the 80s came close to these choices.

FAR AND AWAY easily won the 90s.  The score with the second-most amount of votes (ANGELA'S ASHES) only got a third of the votes FAR AND AWAY did.

MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA easily won the 00s-10s.  The score with teh second-most amount of votes (THE PATRIOT) only got half the votes GEISHA did.

It will be interesting to run the same poll again in five years and see if expansions change anyone's opinions!
