This may have been done when the score originally came out. So I apologize. But with the deluxe edition’s release, we’re all listening to it again:)

Overall, which is your favorite theme/motif composed by Powell from this score?

Here’s a few examples of where they pop up in the score:

Han & Qi’Ra love theme

(0:00-0:30’ into “Han and Qi’Ra reunited”)

Beckett/Gang theme

(0:39-0:49’ in “Mimban Battle”

 0:40-0:46 in “ Chewie Untamed”

 1:46-2:16 in “Deluxe Train Heist”)

Chewie Theme

(2:16- End in “Chewie Untamed”

0:19- 1:13 in “Deluxe Train Heist”

2:55- 3:03 in “Kessel Run...”

L3 theme

(0:00-0:19 in “L3 and the Falcon”

0:27-1:00 entire fugue/Ron Goodwin March in “Deluxe Mine Mission”

5:26-5:46 in “Kessel Run...”)

Enfys Nest/Marauders theme

(4:43-5:00- “Deluxe Train Heist”

0:33-0:55 - “Enfys standoff” Its the whole choral chant texture thing)

Conspiracy/Secrets Theme/motif

(0:00-0:10- “Meet Han”

3:41-End - “Spaceport”

4:23- End - “Drydens Long Fight”

Its a three note motif that pops up a TON throughout the score to denote danger/betrayal/Dryden/doom etc)

1: Where is the Conspiracy theme?

2: The music where Qi'ra changes sides and stares out the window, is that part of the love theme? Because if so, it's that one.

The “Conspiracy theme” is the three note motif that first opens “Meet Han” it’s typically associated with all things bad/evil betrayal Dryden etc. It’s all over the score.

“ Lando’s closet”is a good showcase for the love theme.

That three-note theme that opens the score would then be the same three-note theme that plays over the Qi-ra turn. Mystery solved, thanks.

Which is also where my vote is going. That moment at the end was my favorite musical cue from the film after seeing it the first time and it still is.

Isn't that secrets?

Sorry. Some reviews referred to the “secrets” motif as the “Conspiracy” motif. Edited

Also included some examples in the initial question post.

But here they are:

Han & Qi’Ra love theme

(0:00-0:30’ into “Han and Qi’Ra reunited”)

Beckett/Gang theme

(0:39-0:49’ in “Mimban Battle”

 0:40-0:46 in “ Chewie Untamed”

 1:46-2:16 in “Deluxe Train Heist”)

Chewie Theme

(2:16- End in “Chewie Untamed”

0:19- 1:13 in “Deluxe Train Heist”

2:55- 3:03 in “Kessel Run...”

L3 theme

(0:00-0:19 in “L3 and the Falcon”

0:27-1:00 entire fugue/Ron Goodwin March in “Deluxe Mine Mission”

5:26-5:46 in “Kessel Run...”)

Enfys Nest/Marauders theme

(4:43-5:00- “Deluxe Train Heist”

0:33-0:55 - “Enfys standoff” Its the whole choral chant texture thing)

Conspiracy/Secreta Theme/motif

(0:00-0:10- “Meet Han”

3:41-End - “Spaceport”

4:23- End - “Drydens Long Fight”

Its a three note motif that pops up a TON throughoutthe score to denote danger/betrayal/Dryden/doom etc)

There are WAY more examples of all of these. Some played faster/slower in bits and pieces all over. A wonderful musical tapestry worthy of the Star Wars brand.

No love for L3s little Ron Goodwin-esque fugue? That one is an ear worm for me. Love how it’s developed all through Mine Mission.

I love that theme! I just love the love theme more :P

It's really hard to choose. All the new themes are superb! Powell's themes are just as strong as Williams' Solo theme.
