The more I listen to this, I think the melodic aspects, while listenable and celebratory on their own, are meant to crystalize in the final and full statement of the Horray for Hollywood theme.  it is like a catharitic and perfect celebratory moment.  I love this piece.

The Hooray motif also appears at about 2:53 into the piece.

I love this piece. There is a part small part reminds me Jerry Goldsmith's The Great Train Robbery.

Really enjoyable. I wait a real recording now !

I listened and immediately went to listen to Jaws 2.  Not saying that t influenced him. How could it, he said he barely remembered it. So anyways Jaws 2 everyone interpolated.at the Hollywood Bowl.

Yes, that fun, late 70s/early 80s vibe is clearly present--I went to the Esplanade overture, but I can definitely see Jaws 2.
