I'm super grateful that Bryon was able to help bring about the Varese deal with LLL for them to do the new Planet of the Apes, but I wouldn't assume that the same will happen for more obscure scores.

Why not? Isn't it the less known scores, that they should care less about keeping the licence of?

Luckily, Bryon's been doing a good job getting more Club Titles out per year since he took over than Townson's later years (at least it feels that way)

That's true, but at the same time I feel like the quality checking got neglected ever since.

That's rich coming from someone who was banned from FSM for literally being so obnoxious that more people complained and reported their posts than did for anyone else in history. :)

He's a good kid most of the time on this forum, but you make him nervous for whatever reason.

Yavar, I'm having FUN with you!

How many smiley emojis to I have to include?.

I was one of your DEFENDERS at FSM.

Peace😍

p.s. Thor is number two.☺

I know that kinda shit. You can say whatever you want, any insult and any tastelessness is legitimate, as long as you add a happy smiley to it. That's bullshit.

I dunno if that's fair. I think Bryon's been doing an incredible job with the titles he produces for Varese -- Wild Wild West by Elmer and Peter Bernstein was a recent revelation in expanded form! -- but there were also a ton of great releases in the more recent Townson years: Dracula DE, The Cowboys DE, Stanley & Iris DE, Small Soldiers DE, and a lot of other Goldsmith and Poledouris DEs (Under Siege 2, On Deadly Ground, Starship Troopers...)

Those first 3 you listed were entirely done by Mike.  Townson just wrote the checks

Are the JG OMEN sequels highly regarded by most fans?

Sequel scores like POLTERGEIST II tend to lack the cache of the originals.

I think, The Final Conflict is by many regarded as the best in the series.

Damien: Omen II is like an evil extension of The Omen featuring extra synth.

And one of the best in the career.

Well, you can't, it's been OOP for years.

Hopefully LLL can release it on this new line, unless its Varese perpetuity

Mephisto Waltz is indeed Varese in perpetuity just like The Other, both Goldsmith PotA scores (which were sub-licensed out to LLL), and both Flint scores.

But luckily it's not too expensive second-hand for anyone who wants the old 1997 album:

How can you used the internet for as long as you have and not know that text takes up a miniscule amount of space compared to a picture?

I'm not talking about the literal amount of space on your display, I'm talking about server space.  A huge post of text is like 1% the size of an image file.

I'm talking literal space.

I'm sorry I'm not an expert on such easy to understand subjects as ' data server space'. I didn't go to Internet University,  but I bet I know more than you about WWII.😊

Btw Jay. It's not polite to constantly say to someone " How can you not know that". In fact, it's downright insulting.

I would never use that phrase.

Peace.

1997 is " old"? 😆.

Seriously , recording tech hasn't changed that much since that long ago time! Don't be afraid.😊

Man! I had forgotten how good MEPHISTO is. Maybe I should get the full score!

Dissonant stuff! But Goldsmith always manages to make it interesting. I have to prepare mentally for that, though. I have no idea about various releases. I have the Varese.

I love how he adapts the Liszt piece(s).

The original, itself, is dissonant.

I would wager that 99.999% of all people here already knew that text takes up a miniscule amount of space compared to image files. Now you know too, Bruce. Isn't that a good thing? One less thing you can endlessly complain about! :)

Yes, I know it uses more DATA. But, I did not realize that particular image was so LARGE. I promse to  pay better attention to file size in the future.

Which takes up more LITERAL space on the forum ; my photo or Yavar s filmography? I have to scroll and scroll and scroll to get to the next poster.

Bruce, none of your pictures have taken up a lot of screen space, in fact, the board has settings that actually limit the size of an image inside a post. Even if you tried to upload a post that was very tall and/or very wide, it would never display that way in your post.  The only issue has been you are doing something wrong with the file sizes, uploading like a 5MB image that should be like 100KB image.

And yea, you're gonna have to scroll a lot if someone submits a post with a lot of text in it. That's how forums work.  It doesn't mean he did anything wrong.

I appreciate Yavars work, I really do. But, it's a MESSAGE BOARD.

I'm sure he has that material archived and could have linked Like I said, not a big deal. I was just 'busting his balls -

a manly  pursuit that has sadly gone out of style ( sometimes I Feel Like the Clint Eastwood character in GRAN TURINO. 😅)

JAY. ONE reason I am confused: other posters complain that my " pictures are to large". I assumed they meant literally. Why would anyone but YOU,  site administrator, care about file size?

Thanks.

Busting balls is great amongst good friends, but not common to do with strangers.  I have not observed you making many friends here yet.  Do you feel that you have?

Because when they open up a thread page with one of your massive pictures in it, their device  automatically downloads that 5MB picture you uploaded without a choice in the matter.  Some people browse this forum with limits to how much data they can use in a month.

Many folks here tease each other in good fun - have you read Sharks posts recently. I've ' known' Yavar for years. He knows I'm a wise ass. I know im a wise ass. But, I am NEVER mean or cruel.

Laughter is good for the soul. Look at all the 😅 got yesterday.

Your ' problem' , Jay, is you can't imagine anyone being different than YOU. How many times have you said about me " in all the years on this board nobody has ever done it that way".

Expand your horizons.

Peace

The response Yavar gave to you in this thread does not indicate to me that he considers you a friend.  I am happy to be corrected if that is not the case.

I 100% agree with this first sentence.  I don't know what this second sentence means.

I've said those things to you without hyperbole at all.  I've never seen anyone have the image posting issues you have.  That's just a simple fact.  I don't know what you want me to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I consider myself educated on the issue.

If I make future mistakes, please inform me and I will attempt to fix them.

We ALL have to learn these techniques- I just came to it later than most.i

I bet im the only one here who can thread a movie projector. Does that make me ' superior'? Of course not!

I did that when I worked in a movie theater in the 90s

Excellent!

Now, do you know how to tell a bobcat from a lynx?

When you can do that , you will have " taken your first step into a larger universe".  😊
