I second Jay's suggestions for albums. Good compilations are the way to go!

I'd skip the book, though. It's based on a musicological dissertation, and that's not exactly easy reading for a 12-year-old. We're all still waiting for that first general Williams book.

Pretty soon there is going to be a Home Alone LEGO set of the McCallister House?

Not in time for this year's Christmas (no release date has been announced yet).

How about tickets to a film in concert?  Those are awesome and a great way to experience the movie and music.  But I think most orchestras are shut down now so it might have be a few months away.

I need to make this too! It’s brilliant!

For those interested (and living in the U.S.), I priced out parts for both of Marian’s brickheadz a few months ago and the total came to a little more than a hundred dollars. Not complaining, just a friendly heads-up.

Whoa. I think when I ordered parts for my own, it was about €30 to €35 for both (i.e. €15 to €20 per Head)- so just slightly more expensive than official Brickheadz. I did however spend several evenings looking up the best combinations of sellers to order the parts on Bricklink, plus ordered a few select ones directly from LEGO. And I used the white wands from my own collection, because those were extra rare. (My Voldemort minifig doesn't have a wand now)

She isn't super great at piano so sheet music isn't an option.

But there is John Williams sheet music for piano, also from Star Wars, for almost  every possible level, from beginners to professionals.

Anything that might explain his inspirations/thoughts? Motivations? Creative process?  She loves how JW tells the story musically as much as the actual movie does..("This used was supposed to be the Force theme, but it is now Yoda's theme? Can you hear how they introduce it lightly when Ahsoka walks in?" kind of statements... to which I am always like "um..no")

Probably the best source for material like this is YouTube videos and old interviews. None of it, unfortunately, is readily compiled in anything you can buy at a store. But with enough time and patience, such content could be collected onto a hard drive and then given as a gift. For ex., one could give as a Xmas gift a USB stick of JW video interviews, featurettes, and the like collected from around the web.

I have no idea if a 12 yo JW fan would be excited at the prospect of a gift like this, though.

Will just say from my perspective, I looooooved all of these when I was 12. The third Spielberg/Williams CD in that boxset hadn’t come out yet but I know I would have loved it the same.

The Bluray is a great option too, definitely.
