The wife and I are watching this new show on HBO Max that's entertaining, nothing particularly special... except for the original score by Blake Neely, which I actually noticed right away and have been enjoying every week!  Check out the main title cue:

Hopefully this gets some kind of album release!

WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for the HBO Max original series The Flight Attendant. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Blake Neely (Arrow, The Flash, Greyhound, The Pacific, Everwood, Supergirl, Riverdale), including the composer’s main title theme. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 18. The purchase link will be added to this page within the next day. The Flight Attendant is developed by Steve Yockey based on the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian and stars Kaley Cuoco, Michiel Huisman, Zosia Mamet, T. R. Knight, Michelle Gomez, Colin Woodell, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews, Nolan Gerard Funk and Rosie Perez. The comedic thriller revolves around a flight attendant who wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened. The show’s first season finale is premiering today and the full season is now available to stream on HBO Max.

I don't really understand the point of putting "Season 1" on the cover since it's a miniseries, not an ongoing show, based on a book that's entirely adapted now.  Does the OST album cover spoil a forthcoming announcement that they are going to invent new stories and make new seasons?

We haven't finished the show (seen 5 out of 8 episodes) but it doesn't seem to me like a premise (or cast of characters) that would warrant continuing on as an ongoing show...

I find it very bizarre why the greatest (and only?) great score he has composed has not been released - the Keepers. A very JNH mystery score with amazing violin solos. On Netflix. Check it out.

Neely had it on his site for a long time but it's gone. Netflix releases any old garbage - surely they can pump this out? Is there some weird copyright issue we need to know about?

The theme is here -

Again, fantastic music - but there is so much more. And if Neely says it's not worth, I guess it's not worth it. But it's not. Sometimes artists don't know what's good for them.

WTM released Neely's score from the Netflix show called "YOU". So Netflix shouldn't be a problem here. Neely also tweetet in 2020 that he tries to get it released:

Maybe they got someone really good at the violin (like James Ehnes, who did JNH's violin concerto) and they'd want a ton of money for a release.

We finished watching season 2, and it was basically as good/fun as the first.  This is not prestige/peak TV, but it's really fun pulp TV that is easy to watch.  I never liked anything about Big Bang Theory including Kaley Cuoco's performance in it, but in this show, she's surprisingly good - like, really good, honestly Emmy level worthy acting (not that she has a chance of getting nominated).

Fun show, and super fun score!
