Naïve Old Fart 9,511
Chalk and cheese, JS. I love THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN and WHERE EAGLES DARE, but I also love Jerry's war scores. It's a tie.
Unlucky Bastard 7,782
Battle of Britain is such a good film and score. I love Patton and T!T!T! though.
Thor 7,490
Difficult to answer. Goodwin's is more classical WAR music with marches and stuff. Goldsmith often goes into the psychology of the war mechanisms and players themselves . Both have their value, for different reasons. But I guess if I were to choose from what I prefer to listen to, I would pick Goldsmith. Edmilson
Yavar Moradi 2,593
Both great (Where Eagles Dare is especially excellent for Goodwin) but I had to go with Jerry. Yavar

Yavar Moradi 2,593
“The Tunnel” (Playhouse 90) A Gathering of Eagles In Harm’s Way Von Ryan’s Express Morituri The Blue Max The Sand Pebbles Patton Tora! Tora! Tora! MacArthur Masada Inchon Rambo: First Blood Part 2 Lionheart Rambo III I guess First Blood and The Last Castle are a bit of a stretch. And there are other military scores not involving war exactly as the main focus, like Twilight’s Last Gleaming and Damnation Alley. Stuff where war is tangential like QBVII and the two episodes of The Loner. And then there are things with battles, like First Knight and Timeline...but I don’t know if they qualify as full on war. So...anything I’m missing? Yavar
