Wow, never saw a project like that coming

The score potential by Williams is off the charts

Right? I'm feeling really excited already. :woop:

Sounds like an excellent project for Williams to score. Maybe it'll be a score like the music from the childhood scenes of Born on the Fourth of July?

Interesting, for sure. But from experience, I won't get my hopes up untill the film is basically in cinemas! :D

Are you people serious? That description sounds dull af, he shouldn’t even bother JW with what prolly will end up being an Oscarbaity borefest.

Seriously Michelle is going to ACT IN and SCORE the film.

Would be interesting to see her pull off a Streisand or Gaga.

This sounds like a very intriguing project. Looking forward to it and a potential Williams score.

It's hard not to imagine how a deeply personal film for Spielberg will translate to JW caring very, very much about crafting the right score for it

Yeah, an autobiographical-ish film?  He wouldn't want anyone other than Williams to do it.  And with it being small-scale, wouldn't require huge amounts of music like an action film.  Sounds perfect!

Since Leah - Spielberg's mother - was a concert pianist, and this fictional mother perhaps is too, maybe we can expect some original piano pieces!

From the creators of War Horse, Lincoln, Book Thief, and Dear Basketball...

Can I Zzzzzz this yet or might it actually not be a boring historical drama?

I'm sure Silvestri will deliver a functional score.

Yeah! He does great Americana also.

R. Newman or Silvestri would be great.

Sounds like an interesting project with great potential for the score. The two finest films is Spielberg's career, IMHO (E.T. and Empire of the Sun) both tackled childhood, so the prospects are good

What a bookend to Williams' career, an ode to a self-indulgent egomania project from his mate who can't seem to get over his own childhood. Spielberg's a weirdo. Where's Amistad 2?

At least he had a childhood.

I don't know what the hell you had#

An incubation?😉

A 90 year old JW stepping up to the podium to score a film in a post-COVID world is really what I need right now.

Somehow, that makes perfect sense.

Really? I'm not being glib, but in what way?

At this stage of JW's career I imagine a mix between Warhorse and BFG, without the horse and the giant.

I thought he already made a film "loosely based on his childhood"?

Yeah but Duel was a TV movie so it doesn't count.

Just like Dreyfuss before him, Seth Rogen is Spielberg's latest alter ego.

Not a fan of Rogen, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

It's not new information (to me), and yes - that is extra promising.
