So same idea as the previous poll. The idea is again to organise the JWFan's own Academy Awards with the same nominees and every John Williams scores even the ones that weren't nominated. Nothing much more to say here except that you must vote for John Williams in 2005, it's on of his greatest year so make him win.... ;)

Well this is interesting - 2006 is the only year on either poll where I've literally never listened to any of the nominated scores at all (and I've only seen one of the films)

My favorite scores from that year are Casino Royale, Mission: Impossible III, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Lady in the Water

My selections in the poll are easily viewable, so I won't repeat them here.

But interesting to compare them to my favourite scores of each year:

2000: GLADIATOR - Hans Zimmer (nominated, but didn't win)

2001: A.I. - ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - John Williams (nominated, but didn't win)

2002: WHALE RIDER - Lisa Gerrard (not nominated)

2003: THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING - Howard Shore (nominated, and WON!)

2004: HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN - John Williams (nominated, but didn't win)

2005: MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA - John Williams (nominated, but didn't win)

2006: WORLD TRADE CENTER - Craig Armstrong (not nominated)

2007: EL GRECO - Vangelis (not nominated)

2008: THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS - James Horner (not nominated)

2009: AVATAR - James Horner (nominated, but didn't win)

2000 - The Patriot
2001 - Fellowship of the Ring
2002 - The Two Towers
2003 - Return of the King
2004 - The Village
2005 - Memoirs of a Geisha
2006 - The Good German*
2007 - Atonement
2008 - Benjamin Button
2009 - Up

*It's not my favorite score, but Thomas Newman's Oscar is long overdue. Ideally, he'd had won in 94 for Shawshank.

Not even Pan's Labyrinth ? That one is spectacular IMO, one of those rare 70+ minute soundtrack where every track has something to offer.

I've seen (and loved) the flick, but don't think I ever checked out the OST album, no.  If I did, I just don't remember now.

2002's most memorable score was Signs not another rehashed LOTR's snoozer

No problem

Signs is one hell of a great score.  I had forgotten it wasn't oscar nominated!
