'The Light of Days' by Judy Batalion

This epic, sweeping tale of Jewish women resistance fighters in WWII is powerful, incredibly well-written by genius Judy Batalion, and truly changes history. Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment already has a big screen version of this in the works!

Judy Batalion's new book, "The Light of Days," details acts of heroism by Jewish women in the ghettos of eastern Europe - and even within the death camps. She documents how female couriers hand-carried crucial messages, weapons, and ammunition as part of the resistance in besieged Jewish ghettos.

The new book may help elevate these women to their rightful place in history, especially as the author is now working on a screenplay for Steven Spielberg

Yeah, read that on FSM. Intriguing. Will always welcome more SCHINDLER'S LIST-ian stuff. But as always -- I won't get any hopes up untill they're actually in production.

It turns out Spielberg got the rights to this book in 2018, three years before it came out!

There's no indication yet that Spielberg intends to direct it himself, though - only that Amblin will produce it.

Maybe JW will score it for another director!

I'll do backflips if Williams manages to score this film in the next few years. As usual, Spielberg has quite a bounty of interesting projects at his disposal... but too few actually proceed into production with him behind the camera.
