But since we see the gong getting hit 3 times in the film...would they ask John to overlay 3 gong hits over the 2 that are on the album? Jay 37,322 Posted April 7, 2022 Share Posted April 7, 2022 Well the third gong hit is when the gong-hitter is off to the side and not right up front like in the shot that has the first two hits, so perhaps they originally thought two were fine, then someone realized they should add a third for the shot where he's still on screen too.
