This sequence sounds like fun! Liking Mangold's sense of humour.

For the car lovers, some vintage models on set.

Interesting sequence being shot at Castello Maniace (see the photos of the fort-like structure from yesterday). Seems to involve a knight of some type? Also the first photo of Phoebe in Sicily, hanging out with Ford.

And inside the fort. Interesting boat!

And it seems production is moving to Morocco after all, with shooting in Fez starting later this month!

Really cool teases! Also, Harrison Ford looks great! You know, it would not surprise me if a first teaser trailer was released sometime during December (That would be a nice Christmas gift).

Thanks for the massive dump of pics and news, @crumbs. Really starting to get excited for the flavor this film seems to be taking on. So glad that it seems like it'll visually bring some stuff that is unique to this entry. It's only just now starting to sink in that we're actually getting one more of these (and that it might actually be good!).

It's just nice to see an Indiana Jones film visiting real locations and travelling the world again!

Who'd have thought Indy and that costume would look just at home in a 1960s aesthetic as he did in the late 30s?

If nothing else, Mangold has nailed the globe-trotting brief.

It's amazing how that hat completely transforms Ford. He looks 20 years younger with it on!

Looks basically the same as he did in KOCS here.

Absolutely; he looks really great. I cannot wait to see Indy back again on the big screen!

In this film confirmed to take place in the 60s and not the 70s?

If they want Indy in the film to be around the same age Harrison Ford is now, it should be set in the late 1970s.  If this is set in the 60s, they're having  79 year old Harrison Ford play an Indy who is only 61-70ish?

Yea, but I'm asking if this film takes place in the 1960s, or if the film takes place in the 1970s.  I haven't been following leaks and shit so I have no idea, figured somebody here might know

With the Apollo parade scene that was filmed, I thought that put it squarely  1969? So almost the 70s.

if that year is confirmed, its a good way to not have to revisit Mutt, that's for sure.

KOCS takes place in 1957, and Shia LeBouf was 20/21 when it was filmed

If IJ5 takes place in 1969, 12 years later, and Shia LeBouf is 35 now, how is that a problem?

who said it was a problem?

if mutt/shia isn't brought back (and theres a high chance he's not), and the film advances that far in the future, it's easier to just disregard the character, and let him go his separate way.  if it took place a year or 2 after KOTCS, it'd be kinda awkward, considering he's his son.

Indy's now an old man and has forgotten he has a son. Or perhaps Shia is the antagonist this time?

Poor Indy, lost his father, his colleague Marcus, AND he's stuck doing the same shenanegans in his 70s? And now you want to take his son from him?!

Poor sod.

Life's harsh, man.

The "son that turns evil" plot has already been used in the new SW trilogy, I don't think they'll do the same with Indy.

That's the surprise twist. I guess you didn't see another death star coming either.

shia has done some good work since KOTCS/2008.

His biggest (lol) role was showing his dick in that Nynphomaniac movie by Lars von Trier. Otherwise it's mostly independent movies. And I think he got #MeToo-ed too.

I don't think Spielberg would let the guy work on one of his films again after the comments he made a few years back.

He burned a lot of bridges with Spielberg and Ford.

You're right, I checked and the genitalia is in fact from porn stars:

I don't think Shia was against showing his body but with a schlong from a porn actor, lol.

He wouldn't wanna do it anyway based on those comments

It's only KOCS that made a point of referencing past characters with Marion and the constant nods to Marcus/Henry.

It has the same (extremly tired) soap opera feeling that Lucas had increasingly injected into Star Wars as it went along.
