It must have been hot conducting in that C3PO outfit! Was that Anthony Daniels?

I think it was Daniels. I kind of recall reading or listening to somewhere that he couldn't actually see the orchestra but was trained how to kind of conduct.

I wish someone with more time and resources than I created a database containing the complete list of all Pops concerts with Williams' involvement -- pre-, during and post-leadership, and also including those that weren't aired as "Evening at Pops".

Just a reminder, all I am doing is posting these as I have found them on youtube.  I know the following one has been posted previously.  It seems too short to be complete, but it is a good one.

The missing second half of that show was with Maureen McGovern.

Does anybody have the videorecording of this 1993 concert called A Salute to John Williams?

http://www.jw-collection.de/films/jw_tribute.htm

It seems that only salutes are available on YouTube:

I hope the complete concert videorecording will be available someday in the best possible quality just like John Williams' inaugural Boston Pops 1980 concert ;)

I have this entire EAP episode on VHS, recorded off the original PBS broadcast.

Me too. Both on VHS and an ancient CD-R somewhere, acquired in the late 90s or early 2000s. I was convinced the whole thing was on Youtube, but apparently not.

You are lucky, guys.

I'm really interested in the videorecording.

Is the quality of the video better than those clips on YouTube?
