Sorry, for asking the same question, but do I have to change the name on the ticket? I can't find any telephone number on vivatickets website for customer support.

I tried as well on vivaticket but event is not popping up, so I have a feeling they dont care about changing names

Hi guys,

first time going to La Scala and wonder what is the dress code? Does it have to be black suit like on almost all glamour photographs all over the internet? :D Or may it be something less formal or at least bluish jacket? I’ve been in Berlin last year and it was quite casual.

  • The public is kindly requested to dress in keeping with the decorum of the Theatre, out of respect for the Theatre and for other viewers. People wearing shorts or sleeveless T-shirts will not be allowed inside the auditorium; in this case, tickets will not be reimbursed.
  • Umbrellas, hats, bags, cameras, audio/video recording devices and mobile phones must be deposited at the cloakrooms. We request that gentlemen leave overcoats in the cloakrooms. A cloakroom service is provided free of charge.

Last question probably to people from Milan - We need to get a bus from bergamo airport to Milan city center, is it better to purchase tickets online on the terravision website or on the airport/bus? We are going to be at the airport around 02:00am

Guys, sadly for me, my friend cannot attend the show… This means I have a spare ticket for Monday’s special evening.

Seat: I ORDINE PALCHI DX n. 6 Posto 1

You’ll be sitting next to yours truly 😉.

The ticket (PDF) has the name of my friend on it, however, as I gather from the comments here that doesn’t matter 🙂.

Anyone interested? Or know someone who might be interested? 🎟️  Please give me a shout!

I send you a message!

I need a ticket for a friend :)

Well the Maestro certainly doesn't waste any time, already at work as always. Let him do what he went there to do and let him go back safely to L.A. as soon as possible to continue writing his new work.

I recognise the gentleman who escorted JW in Lenox this summer.

I saw that gentleman in Vienna and Berlin too.

Note that there are two Radio 3s. Need to confirm which one.

Program for Monday 12 (Lun 12) is likely to show up tomorrow!

Rai Radio 3 Classica | Canale | RaiPlay Sound

Rai Radio 3 | Palinsesto | Canale | RaiPlay Sound

The program for the 12th is up for both stations, and there's no entry for the concert. I wonder if the information in the article is accurate...

No cimbasso...

---------

The program still looks rather generic from what I can see.

But except for the article there is currently nothing indicating that the concert is being broadcast / recorded.

There are only 3.5 days left to get something set up...

Does anyone have any John Williams themed recommendations of anything to do over the weekend?

Are any of the special Williams/Spielberg film screening venues worth going to? Anything else on that I may not know about?

I say it's up to the community. We need to force hands.

But how?

Contact and ask/urge RAI?

Crowd-fund Emil Berliner Studios or msm-studios (Munich)?

Any local Italian organisations or VIPs that could be consulted?

John Williams has arrived in Milan.

Source: filarmonica della scala (account Instagram)

Someone is filming this with quite a complex camera construction. No one would bring that along just for a private snap-shot. Could it be that something is going on here - some official documentary in the making?

I'm afraid if there really isn't anything planned to film the concert, it's too late. Such a recording is a big logistical challenge, it requires people, equipment and time. Someone has to pay for it. The only hope is that the source mentioned here a few days ago is wrong, even if it's someone from Filarmonica della Scala.

No idea, maybe TownerFan has ideas? It's beyond absurd this is not being recorded.

No recording is worse than no ticket, from a sociocultural point of view.

Here's a time slot?

In Sala

20:30 - 22:30 In Sala Opere, Operette, Musical, Oratori, Messe e il grande repertorio sinfonico e concertistico

Radio 3 Classica | Lunedì 12 dicembre 2022 | Palinsesto | Raiplay Sound

Well, I hope jeans and shirt are good enough. It´s not like I´m on stage :-)

Priorities... even a single mic recording is better than nothing.

I’ve just been to the orchestra box office on piazza 6. They seem a little overwhelmed and annoyed by people looking for tickets.

They say contacting viva ticket for tickets is the only way, but contacting viva ticket they say it’s just sold out and they don’t have any information on reselling or returning tickets. Very bizarre organisation. At Vienna there was a simple box office you could speak to and buy tickets immediately.

Yes, I know, I've been there too today; no comparison to Vienna...

But I did meet one fellow forum member in front of La Scala box office by recognising him thanks to his former forum avatar from Vienna!  \o/  /me waves

Details at "Maurizio's" bar on Monday... ;)
