I agree with Maurizio.  Also, the film is currently free on youtube:

I hate the dream sequence, so I usually stop the movie/album there.

Ordered, along with that new Friday the 13th.  Weird pairing.

Hahah Same here.

I'll wait the reglementary one month, before ordering it!

And risk missing out on the potential of an error disc containing tracks Williams didn't approve, like A.I.?  ;)

@mahler3 says on FSM:

Quote

There’s some radio coverage featuring first plays from this seminal album I’d like to highlight including intros from Mike Matessino:

Tonight from 7pm (GMT) with me at www.Belfast247OnAir.com

Tomorrow (Friday) on Classic FM with John Brunning after 4pm (GMT)

Saturday the 11th on RTE Lyric FM with Aedin Gormley after 1pm (GMT)

Scala Radio will also be scheduling tracks on rotation from this new LLL album.

I’m sure you’ll agree the music has never sounded better, which is a commonality when speaking about Mike M’s work.

Thanks Tim!

The Fiddler content is in Part 2 starting at 18:57!

Mike starts talking at 21:58!

After the "thank you Tim", sounds like we're hearing a cut from tomorrow's podcast, as I can hear Tim and Maurizio reacting to some of the things Mike says here :)

After "Miracle of Miracles", "First Act Finale" then "Entr'acte" are played

And the Fiddler content is over by 29:16!

Wonderful choices here, lengthy previews of Williams' score sounding better than ever, and nice coverage of how Miracle of Miracles is different from the original Playback to the OST to the final film.  Nice tease for tomorrow's podcast!

I love that JW listened to the Fiddler audio at Tanglewood, while I was RIGHT THERE, and checked out the Fiddler artwork in Berlin when Maurizio and so many other JWFanners were RIGHT THERE.

It's the reason he couldn't come back out during the extended applause!

However, there will be one more episode with Mike on TLOJW podcast, somehow still tied with Fiddler, before the end of the year... More info coming very soon :)

Hmmm... Mysterious!

Goodbye, Mr. Chips confirmed!

Yeah, that is what I was thinking too. We do have the 3 disc from FSM so that's pretty complete although now quite a few years old.

What about Valley of the Dolls? That only has the original 1967 soundtrack out there. Just 12 tracks.

But perhaps both of these are too on the mark?

Surprised to see mine was shipped Saturday it seems. Should be here tomorrow or Wednesday I hope. Can't wait. It's a Williams work that I am almost completely unfamiliar with and look forward to going in blind. What a treat!

The Maestro, Mike Matessino, La-La Land Records and all else involved have outdone themselves yet again. I am blown away by how remastered the music is.

I reckon they set the dial on "maximum remastering".
