Popular Post JohnnyD 1,221
As I'm sure everybody knows, this coming year will be a great milestone for the world's most famous film composer, Maestro John Williams. On February 8, the Maestro will be 90 years old. That is the topper. The Berlin Concert will be released in celebration of this milestone birthday; another album with Anne-Sophie Mutter will be released in the summer as part of the celebration. A 21-disc set containing the Philips Records albums of the Maestro conducting the Boston Pops will also be released. Plus, the Maestro himself will have several concerts in both the USA and Europe! In addition, several films in which the Maestro has done the scores will celebrate anniversaries. The Witches of Eastwick - 35th anniversary; Amistad - 25th anniversary; Seven Years In Tibet - 25th anniversary; Catch Me If You Can - 20th Anniversary; it is the perfect opportunity for remastered and expanded releases of some, if not ALL, of these scores as part of the celebration. It is confirmed that Amistad has been restored in 4K; the home video release is inevitable, so an expanded and remastered soundtrack release may be very likely. To the point, this coming year will see much in celebration of the life and genius of the legendary Maestro John Williams. The Maestro himself will of course keep himself very busy and active; an amazing feat at 90 years old. He looks good just as well! A great time to look forward to. Thor 7,478
It will be a great milestone. I have planned something special at Celluloid Tunes, should I have the time and energy, that I think would be interesting to most Williams fans. Raiders of the SoundtrArk 2,429
2021 was Goldsmith year, 2022 promised to be Williams year! In addition to all what as been listed above, there's the 10th anniversary of LLL Hook release and possibly a new score for Spielberg next movie... Once 604
But the possibility of a new Spielberg collaboration at the age of 90 is not only impressive, but very, very exciting. ConorPower
