Two excellent examples of Film Noir, easily compared with each other due to various similar plot elements. Which score or film do you prefer?

DOUBLE INDEMNITY wins both. Great film, classic score. I quite like the BODY HEAT soundtrack -- even as one who is generally critical towards Barry -- but I can't remember anything of the film (I know that I've seen it years ago).

Both films are classics and superb. And both scores are great.

I remember bits of both scores. But I will go with Body Heat for score. It's main theme is just outstanding. It is just dripping with sultriness, seadiness and lust. It is so fitting. I would say this theme is definitely a bit of precursor for themes from similar sex films like Goldsmith's Basic Instinct and Anne Dudley's Elle.
