alawill75 39
Hi there, our orchestra is doing a concert with music of John Williams and we would like to do a video projection of photos of the maestro and/or movie stills (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Schindlers List). Is there a ressource where to find such photos that one is allowed to use for a official concert, ideally at low cost or no cost at all. Any hint is welcome, thanks! All best, Alawill michael_grig
GerateWohl 4,354
When I listen to music in a concert, I personally don't like to get distracted by other media like projections, videos. Trust the power of music.

Trust the power of music. Same here, although some still image projections are a million times better than those Live-to-Projection shenanigans that are all the rage these days. As for the question, I do not know of any particular resource that has still images for free public use other than Wikipedia Commons. You might take a chance and put up a film still with the appropriate credits in the corner (for articles, we tend to use still images without credits, but I'm not sure how the legalese is in concert settings).
