Quickest I've ever felt compelled to transcribe something. This is the french horn solo that opens the piece. Probably the antecedent phrase of a longer melody. Will update as more becomes available!

I love the little hit to open the piece.

 

The brass choir segment is beyond cool.  

 

The ostinato at times sounds a bit like Gold's Dr. Who to me--nice, but a tiny bit distracting consequently.

Here's the whole theme (first minute or so of the piece), with chord symbols. 

 

Love the Abma7/Eb to D7 progression, sounds like something out of Last Crusade. Will get cracking on other aspects of the piece once I catch my breath.

The subdued theme itself might get some time getting used to. But I certainly dig the composition and tone. It certainly fits the tone I imagine this series to have. I can't wait to hear it in crisp quality (tomorrow?).

I like the surprise opening on strings and the slow rise of the main melody. Overall, it does remind me of the Luke in Exile theme from TLJ when it goes ostinato and brassy. I hope we get an official release very soon.
