Thank the Gods!😄

Tbh

I'm really not that familiar with this score.

So, who knows?😉

I am a big Horner fan.

But, two CDs is still a hard sell.

I'll keep an open mind#

Looks like I need to rewatch the movie on my flight home this Saturday

One of the first CDs I ever bought... in a CD longbox!

Yea I told my wife we have to watch the movie this weekend now lol

I haven't seen it in probably 20 years

Whohoo ! No idea how much (good) music is missing from the OST, but never mind, that's an instant buy :woop:

Yeah! 3) Release of the year! And 12) a holy grail of mine! First second purchase for me!

I get WILLOW, LABYRINTH, DARK CRYSTAL, KRULL et.al confused!

Given the pent-up demand for this score, I wonder how quickly it'll go OOP. It's been a long time since a score sold out permanently in the space of hours or days, right? Maybe Hook back in 2012?

YES!

It’s not a huge amount missing (I guess I could agree with the word “fair” above :)) but I’ve wanted this in a complete program since I was young.  It was a great OST and it will be a great C&C too.  Just an absolute classic fantasy score!  Hornerisms at their most endearing.

Amazing to check another grail off the list.

FINALLY 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

There's 30 minutes of unreleased music in the film

I certainly trust your encyclopedic knowledge of these things, I just don’t remember it being that significant from when I did my isolated score.  I thought it was like 10-15.  Glad I’m wrong!

This is the one Horner score I really dig, whether it’s nostalgia or whatever.  I’ll be picking this up.

The thirty minutes are listed in this FSM thread:

(3 of the 30 minutes are source)

Was the demand so high because of the desire for the cues that were in the film but left off the ost?

Don't know the score, but I like Horner and if you all love it, I'll check it out!

My No.1 Horner grail, and the score that led me into his music. So fantastic! And just in time for my 50th birthday too! :D

What were the unreleased cues you most wanted?

So this is the BIG 'Non John Williams' release that Mike Matessino was hinting on previously on a podcast. As I had suspected earlier in that discussion thread and since its a Lucasfilm/Disney thing its going to usher in a new chapter for the label (s)

Im looking forward to Matessino's work on this and hopefully liner notes by him. This is such an important and pivotal release to come!

About time! Absolutely essential release and a true holy grail. :)

The flourish of Madmartigan's theme where Willow says "wow, you ARE great!” and the choral bit with the fairy queen and the brownies where Willow is given the wand. Also the complete Nelwyn village source music!

No, it isn't.

Don't want much, do you?

It's been ages since I watched the film (probably around 1990) so I'm not that familiar with what's missing other than the bits I mentioned, however I'll take it all!

Now that's exciting news.

Surely that's a great bit of info - we get this (not for me, but I'm happy for you guys) and something else big is coming up!

This is a major release, for film music and Horner fans, alike.

If this isn't "big", then I'd like to know what is.

Exactly!  It doesnt get much bigger than this release!

Uh oh, then Doug Fake did this. Be afraid, people.

Replacement discs incoming 🌚

With actual editing mistakes, bad overlapping and phasing ignored and left on there!

Come on, lets have some optimisim here. I think Mike Matessino did the whole thing here.

Posted

No offense but I'm more willing to believe Jay who's known to have connections and sources.

Mummy at least had the OST included and all very bad mistakes were made in tracks that are on the OST too.

Oh God, if this release gets "Mummied" I will be deeply annoyed.

Don't say it. Don't even think it!

Then again Queen Bavmorda does wear mummy cloth wrappings so who knows what could happen?
