I would love a NASA commissioned work, but I suppose that is not realistic.  Heck, even a reworked Spacecamp concert piece with tones of Williams "mature" stylings could be brilliant, analogous to Leaving Home for the Oscars.

Williams is a bit dogged down by having the weakest movie of the three, particularly the purely kiddie stuff.  However, the majesty of exploration stuff tops the other two.

It's just a joke, but if William Shatner can go to space, so can John Williams too.
