Popular Post Jay 39,241
So it looks like this album has 3 classical pieces: 3 Sonatina in A Minor, Op. 88 No. 3: III. Allegro burlesco - Joanne Pearce Martin 7 Sonatina in C Major, Op. 36 No. 3: Spiritoso - Joanne Pearce Martin 9 Concerto in D Minor, BWV 974: II. Adagio - John Williams / Joanne Pearce Martin 8 tracks of score: 1 The Fabelmans 2 Mitzi's Dance 4 Midnight Call 5 Reverie 6 Mother and Son 8 Reflections 10 New House 11 The Letter And one track that combines both together: 12 The Journey Begins (includes excerpt from Joseph Haydn: Sonata No. 48 in C Major, HOB. XVI: 35: I. Allegro con brio) "Sonatina in A Minor, Op. 88 No. 3: III. Allegro burlesco" appears to be about 2 minutes long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slaQLZmfwm0 "Sonatina in C Major, Op. 36 No. 3: Spiritoso" appears to be about 4 1/2 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lF-dy7p0SRE "Concerto in D Minor, BWV 974: II. Adagio" apears to be about 4 minutes long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2gVYB5oZ7o "Sonata No. 48 in C Major, HOB. XVI: 35: I. Allegro con brio" appears to be 6 minutes long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q15d0umtEg So that totals approximately 16 1/2 minutes of classic music on this OST album The big question is: Will we get Williams' "The Journey Begins" cue clean w/o the Haydn via the FYC album? enderdrag64, Obi and Will 2

Popular Post Jay 39,241
Oh, I just noticed this text in the Amazon listing (bolding is mine): "One of the most celebrated film composers of all time, JOHN WILLIAMS has composed many of the most successful Hollywood movies - Jaws, Star Wars & Indiana Jones to name a few. During his 6-decade spanning career, he has most notably worked with film director STEVEN SPIELBERG. For their 31st collaboration and 50th anniversary, they have crafted THE FABELMANS. The deeply personal Spielberg film will draw audiences into the cinema to revere the latest collaboration of the iconic Hollywood duo. John Williams’ music for the film spans from romantic solo piano pieces to big orchestra score pieces in the tradition of classic films whilst also drawing from great classical composers from earlier times. The CD booklet contains liner notes from Steven Spielberg as well as images from the film." ConorPower, Brando, Once and 1 other

My experience with songs and classical pieces on OST albums is that they distract from the actual original score. I don't like when I'm hearing the music composed for the film and then that is interrupted by a 10-minute long classical piece or (even worst) a pop song. It's bad for my listening experience. But that's just my own opinion, I'm sure some people can more easily integrate these other pieces.
