In this case, they should probably call it "The Uncensored Cut" or something like that. The idea of a "Director's Cut" for a Netflix movie is kind of silly.

It's how he originally wanted to make it. Zack Snyder made two different versions while he was shooting the movie.

I understand. But in this case, both versions are the "Director's Cut".

Snyder had final cut on both versions. So they're both "Director's" cuts. That's why Peter Jackson called the Lord of the Rings EE's the "Extended Editions" and not Director's Cuts, because calling them Director's Cuts would be silly. 

 

Again, if the entire point of the new version of Rebel Moon is that there's more sex and violence, then something like "Uncensored" would be more appropriate, less likely to confuse families, and more likely to attract eyeballs.
