Popular Post Doug Adams 529
Authors can't always independently announce these things. Publishers, publicists, etc. have a scheme they like to follow in order to make the biggest impact. I'm always amused by people asking, "Hey, is Product X coming soon????" Like creators toil away, but forget that they are supposed to announce a release date. "Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder! It'll be out Tuesday!" ... So the big reveal is the eleventh reply on some random Twitter thread. Anyway, give Tim some space. It's a big project, and there are a number of hands on the wheel. -Doug (who actually knows the planned release date, but ain't saying!) I know, the more interesting tidbit is why it's been so long. You think it might be simply waiting for Kevin Costner to sign off on the use of his image? When this biography comes out, I put it in the queue of what I'm reading. Until then, I'll keeping reading.

Yavar Moradi 3,542
I’m pretty sure LLL never “announced” JFK, any more than Lukas Kendall announced Moonraker tapes were lost. IIRC they once included mention of it in a post on the FSM board, in the context of it being a frequently requested title which people were going to have to wait a while longer for. Just because they had hopes/plans to tackle it is not the same as them officially announcing it or even putting it into production. Yavar Moradi 3,542
Yeah, and the exact MV quote from FSM in that thread is, "JFK -- 2017 or later POLICE ACADEMY 2 - 2017 or later Like I stated we do have some more Goldsmith and Williams in the works for 2016. We'll see what happens" He wrote “2017 or later” in early 2016. That to me says it’s on the back burner, or delayed for various reasons. That is NOT an announcement; it’s “we hope to get to this eventually in the future”. And there’s a reason MV doesn’t post stuff like this any more about prospective future releases. We haven’t seen Police Academy 2 either. Yavar pete and Amer

Popular Post Jay 42,358
I have removed a bunch of pointless posts and their responses from the thread. @HomeSchooledSaurai, the book will be available to pre-order when its ready. Until then, all you can do is wait. Pestering the author here, and digging up old posts to break down, accomplishes nothing. I hope you don't become one of those new members who only show up to ask for things and never contribute anything yourself. Join the conversations here in a respectful and non-pestering way! Also @JohnnyD, the "spambot" report option is for literal spambots, not actual people. Please use the report function appropriately so I don't have a bunch of extra work to do. Thanks. JohnnyD 1,526
Got it; no problem. Thanks, @Jay I'd also like to add that @Maestro was most generous and kind to answer questions about this upcoming tome that he has worked on since 2020. Everything he has shared is more than enough details to make this book one of the most exciting and anticipated John Williams releases coming this year, if not THE most. I thank you for this and more, Tim. Mr. Greiving said he will share the actual release date when the time is right. The year has JUST started, and these kind of things take some time to get ready.
