will all have copies in North America including Canada have the iso score or you'll have to hunt down a hard to get, specific release of this.

Like HunterTech said, it wasn't a mistake on their end. Disney quickly pulled the intended 4K re-release at the last minute and decided to repack the original discs instead, for some unknown reason. Those 4K discs with the isolated score did however end up in the big 9-film boxset.

It's not on mine, only on the standard Blu-ray in this box.

No and I don’t plan on watching it any time soon. The things I’ve seen and heard about it made me appreciate Crystal Skull.

I watched it on Sunday and was positively surprised.

Yeah it’s not amazing or anything, but I like it better than Skull and I certainly don’t regret watching it unlike some other Lucasfilm movies.

I see that Empire Magazine tweeted about the isolated score :

And I had to chuckle at this reply:

Don't EVEN go there, random internet person. If only it were that simple.

Did someone at least reply to him?

I've heard mixed reports about this. It seems that some of the boxes didn't include the isolated score for some reason.

Also did you check both the 4K and Blu-ray discs? I can't recall which one it's supposed to be on.

The Last Jedi isolated score is on the BD disc, NOT the 4K disc.  And only the 2020 version that came inside the Skywalker Saga box set, NOT on the original 2018 Last Jedi BD/4Ks.  I think the 2020 version inside the big box was supposed to be released separately as well, but that's the thing that never happened, at least not in the US.

The UK/European reissue has isolated score on standard Blu-ray.

It should, yes, since it'll most likely be classified as an audio option while watching the film.

That's what I meant when I was worried having to hunt down a specific disk release . I never found a TLJ copy with the iso score.

Right, but that was different because Last Jedi came out in 2017, and its 2018 Blu Ray / 4K didn't have the iso score track, only iTunes/Movies Anywhere did.  LATER, in 2020, after TROS was a thing and they wanted to make a Saga box set, did they add the iso score to a physical release.

With DOD here now in 2023, this is the FIRST and only blu ray / 4K release of the film at all.  There is no other version to get confused by.

If the studio cares so much about JW's work on this film that they're offering a score-only track on the bluray, I can only wonder why they didn't go big with the album program before.

Perhaps, by putting the full score on the bluray - as a bonus audio track - instead of soundtrack album, they no longer needed to ask for JW's approval on what should be put in there and what shouldn't?

What do you mean? They printed 1400 units!

Checked not long ago. It's only on regular Blu-ray.

I would be really surprised if they included isolated score for DOD on 4K UHD disc. Bet it would be only 1080p version that has it. Disney never put any extras on UHD discs, not even commentaries.

EDIT: Oh wait, I suppose it does say it's included on both disc in the press release. Suppose it will make this a first.

The album is programmed by JW not the studios. He designs his albums around what he believes to be the best listening experience. That often means truncating or omitting cues. That's why there is over 10 minutes of unused space on the album. If JW wanted a two-CD OST, we would have had one.

Right now there’s not even a 1-CD OST available for international customers.
Nor is there an isolated score track available for the first three Indiana Jones films on Blu-ray/4K Blu-ray.

Did you mean "four"?

I know nothing about these sort of technical matters, but how much extra work is need to do the isolated score?  It strikes me as an inexpensive feature that should be part of most releases.  Is it a perceived lack of audience interest that prevents it?

Lucas is always talking about SW as silent movies carried by visuals and the score.  Why not make this a feature in future releases of SW--at least give us that for the scores?
