Jay 38,811
The next Intrada release (Tuesday August 6) is Fear Street Trilogy by Marco Beltrami, Marcus Trumpp, Brandon Roberts, and Anna Drubich https://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=157543&forumID=1&archive=0&pageID=1 https://www.facebook.com/groups/95015405220/posts/10169310711950221/ https://www.facebook.com/intradacds/posts/pfbid0oJDq7uMoKj1s6mBcN2gQA2esC65JNyFfBxtEpof2JDqVgVR86Y95DdzyugsFyebTl https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear_Street_(film_series) mstrox
Edmilson 8,519
Hmm, these movies came out just a few years ago. So here's the inevitable question whenever a post-2005 score is expanded: were they recorded in London or the US?
Yavar Moradi 2,872
To stretch to 5CDs, this set looks to be a massive expansion over the existing three digital albums, which range from 39-45 minutes each. Yavar TSMefford

tomsmoviemadness 3,422
There is some excellent music missing from these, especially from the third film. That album mostly focused on the more dark and growling music from the 1666 part and fully ignored the 1994 action part. Love to hear that! Knight of Ren 943
I loved those scores and I agree that there was some nice music missing, so it's great to know they're doing an expansion so soon!
Richard Penna 4,019
I've never even heard of this, but given Roberts/Trumpp were given prominent mention in Roger's composer list, I had a feeling it wasn't going to be a larger project. Either way, tomorrow is August... flyer incoming! Dr. Rick

mstrox 6,808
These movies were really nice surprises. This is also one of the only few Beltrami-adjacent scores (of the ~25 I have) that I really enjoy, so I’ll buy this and see if more is too much of a good thing. tomsmoviemadness
Jay 38,811
FEAR STREET TRILOGY (5CD BOX SET) Marco Beltrami / Marcus Trumpp / Brandon Roberts / Anna Drubich Label: Intrada Special Collection Volume ISC 498 Film Date: 2021 Album Date: 2024 Time: 246:00 Tracks: 112 Price: $59.99 Intrada presents an expansive 5-CD set featuring the music from the three-part movie series Fear Street. The spellbinding original scores are the work of a team of composers led by Marco Beltrami, whose extensive horror credentials include the original Scream, The Faculty, and high-profile remakes of The Omen, The Thing and Carrie. The vision was to create a separate musical identity for each movie, but with an overarching, coherent spirit. Each part is set in a different time period, with a complementary score. Joined by an immensely creative team made up of Marcus Trumpp, Brandon Roberts and Anna Drubich, Beltrami was able to create a saga of horror music and some of the most thrilling music for full orchestra and choir. Fear Street: 1978 is a striking standout with its use of large chorus and Jerry Goldsmith-inspired action riffs. At the time the movies dropped on Netflix, vinyl and digital albums were released, but no CD made an appearance. Given the sheer amount of music written and the epic nature of both score and films, it became a priority for Intrada to seek out a license and give each score full presentation in a deluxe package—each score is in its own jewel case with newly commissioned cover art by artist Sam Gilbey and housed in a cardboard slipcase. The entire set was produced by Scott Williams and Tyson Lozensky working directly with the composer team. This album wouldn't be possible without the kind cooperation of both Sony Music/Milan and Netflix. Before author R.L. Stine gave readers Goosebumps, he introduced them to Fear Street—a series of more than 150 novels, including spinoffs.Targeting a mostly teen audience, the books chronicle murder and mayhem in the cursed town of Shadyside, USA. In 2021, Netflix partnered with Chernin Entertainment to release a trilogy of interconnected Fear Street films inspired by Stine’s novels, drawing especially from The Fear Street Saga. The films, spanning from 1994 to 1666, follows a group of teenagers in the cursed town of Shadyside as they confront a series of supernatural killings linked to an ancient witch, Sarah Fier. The saga begins with a modern-day massacre, delves into a summer camp slaughter in 1978, and ultimately reveals the origins of the curse in 1666. As the teens unravel the mystery across different time periods, they uncover dark secrets and face malevolent forces to break the cycle of violence haunting their town. Track List CD 1 01. Knight of Ren 943
Not counting the extra tracks, we have: -37mins for 1994 -20mins for 1978 -45 mins for 1666 So that roughly amounts to 1h and 42 minutes of new material in this release! Looking forward to hear it whenever I can, especially the score for 1666 which is the one most mistreated on the original release! tomsmoviemadness 3,422
I agree, that album is mostly focused on the 1666 part but the return to the 94 storyline actually has the best music of the film besides "Sarah's Fate", so this is great news! TSMefford 1,525
Oh HELL yes! Instant buy for me. I loved these scores and definitely agree with all those discussing the missing material from especially the third film. Some of that material (5m51-53, 5m54, and 5m58-59) can be heard on Marcus Trumpp's website and I think one or two cues could be heard exclusively in the credits. So pumped to have this! Gives me hope for potential future Netflix expansions. EDIT: It's ordered! Can't wait for it to arrive. Yavar Moradi
tomsmoviemadness 3,422
Does anyone know who is credited on what tracks? On the album releases from 2021 there were a couple of different credits like in 1994 Brandon Roberts was credited on "Berman Is The Key". And in 1978 Buck Sanders was credites on "Chased Through The Woods". Are there any credits out there for this release?
Jay 38,811
Strange. I swear I saw a list with different *, **, ***, etc markings after each track title telling you who contributed to composing that track... but now I don't see that in this thread or in the FSM thread. I dunno where I saw it! Yavar Moradi
