Jay 39,755
Directed by Luc Besson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dracula:_A_Love_Tale Christoph Walz supposedly says in this video interview that Elfman is scoring it (I haven't watched it myself yet) https://collider.com/christoph-waltz-dracula-a-love-tale-luc-besson/
Thor 8,504
Shame Serra was side-stepped for this, like with VALERIAN. To be honest, I'm not that curious to hear what Elfman will do for a DRACULA film. I can picture it (a little bit of WOLFMAN & SLEEPY HOLLOW, maybe, only with his even louder and more aimless contemporary self). But a Serra DRACULA would have more interesting. Jurassic Shark 13,360
Really? I only know his Goldeneye and those Taxi scores, which aren't exactly first rate.
GerateWohl 5,159
I am not very curious about Besson telling that story. It will probably be a slight variation of the same old stuff. And Elfman as well will deliver a slight variation of his same old stuff. 1 minute ago, Jurassic Shark said: Really? I only know his Goldeneye and Taxi scores. I remember, his score for The Big Blue was kind of a hit at the time. Jurassic Shark and Edmilson

I don't really care about Besson, but I'd be curious about what Chris Young could do with the movie (even if he already did a Dracula movie with his Nosferatu ) From what I've heard, Serra is not really my thing, but he seems up right Thor's alley GerateWohl

GOLDENEYE is great; second only to the Arnolds in the Bond series. While Besson wrote and produced TAXI, he did not direct, nor did Serra have anything to do with them. Serra is one of the greatest living film composers in Europe, and a long-time favourite of mine. My favourite scores include THE BIG BLUE, SUBWAY, THE FIFTH ELEMENT and ATLANTIS (which is largely symphonic, btw). I would have loved to see him branch out on DRACULA, but alas. mstrox 6,939
Goldeneye is foul imo, not as a Bond score per se but as something to listen to. The Tina Turner song is good though.
