Steven Spielberg to Direct Sci-Fi Epic ‘Old Man's War' after the one he’s supposed to be shooting next year.

I don't know how reliable this is, but if the major trades starts reporting the same it deserves its own thread, I feel.

If JW completes the double whammy of "Untitled Science Fiction Movie", and "Old Man's War" - both for Steve - it would be a fitting sign-off for his career.

I hope JW can do them, but if not, who do you think Spielberg will choose? I’m thinking Silvestri or Tom Newman.

From what I've read, he's shooting "Untitled Science Fiction Movie" now, and OLD MAN'S WAR following.

I don't believe those until I see a trailer with actual footage either.

Robopocalypse and The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara were the final nails in the coffin of taking Spielberg news too seriously until he's at least filming.
