The Patriot (Intrada) 3CD Set

One thing that confuses me, sort of: Lisa Brenner’s character’s name is spelled “Anne” in the film, shown as such in the credits. The cues that include the character name have it spelled “Ann.” Which is correct?

It's Ann in the script, Williams' cue titles, and OST album titles.

The on-screen credit of Anne in the film's credits seems to be the mistake.  And then of course every article about the movie since then, including Wikipedia, use Anne because they use the film's credits as their source.

I can't recall, are there any props in the film that would have her name on it?

Thank you for clearing that up @Jay. That is very interesting. There were no props with her name on them. I had a suspicion that the film’s credits were somehow the incorrect spelling.

Buried in a snowstorm is a sign that Mother Nature wants you to stay behind that computer and wait for ordering to go live, such is the force of the music of JW.

As for your youngest looping "Defying Gravity"... you have my sympathy. It could be worse: at least it's not Baby Shark.

PS: Lake Effect affect. I like what you did there.

OOPS! My spell correct initially mispelled Effect as affect. I went back to edit and corrected it, but it didn't erase affect. To quote Goldenrod... "Oh dear, oh dear..."

And my daughters and nieces went through the 'Baby Shark' phase a few years back. Thankfully, it wasn't overly excessive, so it wound up being more cute than annoying. So far same for my youngest's current thing for 'Wicked.' 'Popular' too.

Maybe they got confused over which 2000 movie they were talking about?

Ian McKellen on 'X-Men': 'I don't always understand the plots of these films'

This is actually a correction of a misnomer (scroll back for the post that explains it). The cartridge is actually called a magneto.

What makes it even more unfair is that people like @Thor who are the absolute target audience should afford to buy these sets. Even though Thor doesn’t like expansions, but still you get my point. He listens to soundtracks all the time, loves them and collects them, yet he can’t buy them, which is a shame.

These expansions are a real specialty with a relatively small customer base. And of course more people would (could) buy such CD packages if the content wasn't streamed cheaply elsewhere.

But isn't the real problem more the current inflation and tax policy?

If the labels sold their souls to amazon and distributed via them, it were probably much much cheaper for us collectors.

And they could reach a wider audience.

But where is the fun then?

Amazon would want them as CD-Rs on demand.

More people would/could buy them if the shipping and handling fee wasn’t almost as much as the set itself.

Sure, but the people in the shipping and handling industry need to survive, too.

I'm sure they can handle it.

Are you shipping handlers?

I don't mean to diminish the issue of high shipping costs, but can we have a seperate thread for that and have this thread focus on The Patriot's music?

We discuss shipping costs for a couple of days, and will discuss the music for years.

It's like with ticket availability or concert cancellations which sometimes overshadow the pleasure of enjoying (and discussing) the actual music.

Alas if you can’t buy the actual music, you can’t enjoy it.

God, I totally forgot how AWESOME that brass chorale at 5:45 in The Patriot is.

That’s my favorite theme from this score, and there’s quite a bit more of it on this release!

I usually get these super fast, but I fell asleep at the switch and didn't order until late evening on the day of release, and still haven't received a shipping notice.  Must have sold well on day one!
