by the way, where is 2M4 Remembering Fort Wilderness? it's a short cue. Did they omit it?

It'll be appended to another track, same as all the short cues in POA.

2M5 Walking Among The Fallen to be about 50 seconds

Is this cue unused? I just checked the film and that scene in the film is unscored.

For those curious exactly what’s new, I’ve attempted to highlight the unreleased material, as best as I can tell:

I should point out some corrections: The Family Farm (The Patriot Main Title), The First Ambush, Remembering the Wilderness, Gabriel’s Last Fight, and Martin Sets the Trap contain previously unreleased material, while The Defeat At Charleston is previously unreleased. Everything else seems to be correct.

Colonel and Corporal I believe was on the original album as part of the track called Facing the British Lines. Everything else seems to be correct.

"Colonel and Corporal" is not on the original album.

The opening of "Defeat at Charleston" is on the original album.

We've known exactly what is on the OST album for years.

Thanks! I updated most of these, but 9M2 Martin Sets The Trap seems to be complete on the OST, as far as I can tell.

The alternate is, but the film version that is in the main presentation on Disc 2, which a section was previewed on The Legacy of John Williams podcast, contains previously unreleased material.

YES! I’m rewatching the 4K Blu-ray to celebrate.

I see now! In the film, The Patriot Returns is used in place of Colonel and Corporal.

I never knew the opening of Defeat At Charleston was on the album. My mistake.

Thanks, @Jay for that information. I did not know.

And I never knew that The First Ambush and Remembering The Wilderness is really Remembering The Wilderness and The First Ambush.

There’s something similar on the Nixon OST, where it’s actually the second half of ‘Track 2 And The Bay Of Pigs’ that’s 8M5 Track Two.

So the cue name is actually track 2?

I think, it is not always a matter of time and ambition if a composer writes the source music or not.

Especially when it comes to songs or tradditionals some original stuff is often used on purpose.

So, the director actually wants to use "What a Wonderful World" in this scene and not ask the cpmposer to write "something just like this but origial".

Or something like "at this point in time in such situations they used to play this tune, so to make this historically more accurate, we play this here, too."

Usually Williams isn't all for having the source music as Mike has alluded to in his chats but it does require certain types of justification to have them included in the programs. Thankfully the material used is an essential part of the fabric of the score and is therefore necessary.

I still find it interesting how he did the source music for TLJ but not for TFA and TROS, despite the latter two offering multiple opportunities.

That is interesting.  Maybe JJ Baby told him not to worry about it.  JJ likes to make more money on his projects by having writing credits on some music, like the opening titles to Alias, Lost, Fringe and Alcatraz, or the source music in TFA and TROS.

5-8 EST is not good for European buyers. Considering Intrada is west coast, you'd think they could go along with LLL's PT midnight/midday timing.

I'll be looking for some fairly extensive samples as this is still a 'maybe' for me.

Intrada always releases new music on Tuesdays, which actually means they make the order page live on Monday evenings after they're done shipping for the day.

Probably not, since it'll be well past work hours in Europe at the time.  They'll probably list it Tuesday morning, the official release day.

It was always releasing on a Tuesday / Monday evening like all Intrada titles always do.  Roger simply made a typo in his original post, that's all.

Yep, I'm always remembering they usually do Tuesdays, usually dropping while I'm at work and have to take a timeout to order. But I'm off work on vacation and waiting impatiently. :w00t:

I know this feeling 😊 I'm still holding off on buying this until certain other scores are re-stocked at Screen Archives. Such is the way of trying to minimise exchange rate and shipping costs in the land of weak currency 😋

Meanwhile, I have visions of your wife and daughters enjoying their vacation while they leave you locked away in a dark cellar, pacing back and forth behind a computer, counting down the minutes to when the order goes live... 😁😉

Ha! Well, no overseas vacation this year... We got lazy and just stayed home during winter break. Buried in an on/off Lake Effect affect snowstorm instead :eh:! :D My youngest however keeps blasting 'Wicked' and screaming 'Defying Gravity'... so at least the both of them appreciate soundtracks! More Disney-oriented tho.

I'm waiting for it appear on SAE

I'm always torn myself as well. I've ordered from both in the past, whatever one gets it to me quicker reasonably priced I'll order with. You two have the extra International hurdle tho.
