Smeltington 1,751
It's a shame Williams won't conduct, but not surprising. I'll still be there... it would be nice if things go well enough for Williams to make an appearance, but we can't count on that. You know, I would actually love to hear a John Williams Film Night program put together by Keith Lockhart. He'd be sure to work in some deep cuts. No mention of Williams at Tanglewood on Parade, but I bet they'll include some of his music in there somewhere. They managed to put Film Night on a different weekend than the Newport Jazz Festival this year... but not the Emmanuel Ax concert! Gotta think about this one... Davis 3,949
So Williams is skipping Tanglewood, but not Berlin?
Marian Schedenig 10,123
Bear in mind that when I went to Film Night in 2019, only David Newman was officially listed as a conductor, and Williams took over after the first few pieces of the second half as a surprise (I there on the chance that he'd do the encores, so I got more than I had hoped for). So this doesn't necessarily mean much - either way. Will

SilverTrumpet 645
They probably don't want to do a "Yippie! He's back!" announcement just in case something comes up health wise and he has to cancel. I'm sure they had to deal with a lot of crap from customers when he backed out. BB-8
Foxfan 186
Waiting in the queue for Film Night tickets. Though Williams is not confirmed, I have a feeling he will show up if health allows. Having PTSD from the experience trying to secure Berlin Philharmonic tickets last week and the BSO website now appears to have the same issue. Who ARE all these people?? Foxfan 186
Nabbed a single ticket in Section 4. Section 1 sold out and sections 2 and 3 only a few tickets on the edges remain. Further back there are still quite a few, thankfully. BB-8 and Smeltington
