Well we at least know JoeinAr will never listen to them .I'm getting old so it's possible I might be in the grave by then. Is Ricard (The Founder) still alive, or has he already uploaded his consciousness in the internet?

I….don’t think this was the best thing to post….

King Mark with the most depressing thread of the year so far

it's slightly less depressing than JW's health issues and concert cancellations!

Well if the prequels are completed first imagine how long us Least Crusade fans are fucked.

Corrected for JoeinAr

I hope even God himself asked him 'wtf were you thinking with that take?!'

RIP Joe

I just say, if I could or had to chose between experiencing a future with all the complete score expansions available or actually experiencing the thrill of the original movies coming out from the 70s, first time movie experieces, Williams' music changing the world of movie scores etc. I would always chose the latter one, again.

It's about time we assembled a team to raid whatever building the complete recording sessions are located at, à la M:I or Ocean's 11. If only to make sure @King Mark and
@Naïve Old Fart get the chance to hear them.

If it's a lack of interest on Disney's part (i.e. soundtrack fans are such a small part of their business interests) then I don't see how that changes. What event or 'thing' makes them suddenly decide to hire someone to do expansions, instead of spending 50p on the next OST repackage?

It's not like expanding the prequels is any trickier than the average digitally-recorded score from that era - just some editing and mastering needed.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but the only one of us who will still be around to see the expanded Indy/Star Wars sets will be a version of Thor who has been resurrected by the Super Mechas.

And he won't care anyway.

At this point the apocalypse seems like a safer bet than an official expansion of the prequels. Oh well. I'm more interested in an expansion of the sequels anyway.

Wow, the majority of this board has a pretty dark outlook on things.

If you're referring to the poll results, I think the apocalypse option is the closest thing to a "No comment" here, in lieu of a vote for "0", "Prefer not to answer", or "Wtf is wrong with you"

Probably there should be just two vote options:

What is more depressing?

1. Consciousness of inevitable death

2. Waiting for expansions of the Star Wars prequels

The pathetic thing with RotS in particular is that there's only one bit of one cue that I need to make my playlist sfx-free (the transition from the funeral to Vader). If a disorganised session dump appeared on streaming tomorrow, that's all I'd need.

I think those with the bigger potential disappointments are those who need the deluxe presentation, packaging, hours of alternates, etc. That sort of release is either not gonna happen to the required standard or completely priced out of any market if Disney is in charge and doesn't allow a good producer near it.

I'm not aware of a model that can remove general effects, but I've had some success lately with focusing on one instrument (i.e. strings, drums, piano, guitar), so you could in theory make a load of stems and rebuild the mix, but it does depend on there being a model for each instrument in that section.

My tombstone will read: "Thank God I died before the expanded STAR WARS prequels came out!".

Instead of RIP Thor it will say OST Thor instead
