I don't mind vegetables, but I always look forward to eating broccoli more than I actually like eating it.

Strange... but I really like it in broccoli and Stilton soup.

I'm a bit of a fussy eater (I actually match many symptoms of ARFID), but oddly veggies aren't an issue for me.

I tried parsnips once and really wasn't a fan, but otherwise I'm fine with most standard ones - peas, sweetcorn, carrots, green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce (in a sub). I've known people who like other things I don't, but won't go near a vegetable.

Quiabo refogado - Sabor Brasil

Yuck. Reminds me of my time in Japan, where a slimy, fermented version of these was regularly snuck into my meals. "Very healthy," of course.

Don't like the texture or taste of courgette/zucchini and aubergine/eggplant. And whilst I like cauliflower, people need to stop pretending that there's a 'steak' of it or that it makes an acceptable pizza base.

Aka, the "I love constipation, weakened immunity, poor vision, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity" thread!

Food pyramid myths and lies.

Aaaaaaashkuly, the food pyramid is indeed a lie. One of many rubbish lies (like artificial fat-free anything) we’ve been told about nutrition.

But eating your vegetables isn’t one of them. So eat your vegetables Drax. Or don’t, and make Jason happy. Your choice.

No need for any of that plant-based carby crap.

You just increase the risk of heart disease, kidney strain, and colorectal cancer, minor issues like that!

Wrong. You get all that from a high carb diet.

Meat makes you healthy and satiated.

You get that from eating crap carbs and processed foods. Not fruits and veggies.

Fruits are full of sugar, and vegetables are full of carbs. All carbs are crap.

Rubbish.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for high protein, keto diets. Big fan of red meat. And if you have a massive amount of weight to lose, such a diet can work. And I 100% think people should cut out processed foods and refined carbs out of their diet.

But any way of eating that has you avoiding the fruits and vegetables that God gave us on this good green Earth is just...wrong. And long term unstainable.

Hunt your own game do you?

I promise you, everything in the produce section at Sainsbury's is edible.

And how much genetic mutation and processing did it take to get it in that condition from its natural state? Forget it. Livestock is living.

Jerry, think of it this way: you'll need to be alive and healthy in order to get to the 4,000 movies watched on Letterboxd.

And you think the meat you're eating hasn't been genetically modified?

My chatbot told me "the guy from the Netherlands is largely correct" about the EU. And that GM animals are not approved for food production in Australia.

Eating only meat is crushingly boring.

I hope Drax at least uses herbs and spices?

It's easy to cook and is so filling and nourishing. I've also lost 24lbs on this diet in a matter of months. Went from 202lbs to 178lbs, and I want to try to lean down even more to 165lbs.

And yeah I use herbs, spices, pepper, and salt.
