Someone I read on the internet.

Never heard this score before (or seen the film) will listen to the OST later this week to see if it is something to me. What other kind of Zimmer scores is this related to in terms of style?

Drop Zone, Broken Arrow, The Rock, and The Peacemaker.

Excellent to see this, even though I think the OST fared best of the Zimmer 90's suite OSTs

I've never been "into" this score that much, I think I listened to the OST (with its 15-20 minute long tracks) once... Hopefully the expanded edition will change my mind.

Only know the Roll Tide hymn because someone sent it to me back in secondary school. Great news that another proper Zimmer expansion is coming up.

The first time I heard this music wasn't the movie, it was rather the theatrical trailer for INDEPENDENCE DAY

I think The Saint used it as well? There were a few.

Cant wait for this one! Always up for some Zimmer 90s action score!

Well I listened to the OST twice now and I like it, will probably buy this one.

I am gonna see the film today as well.

I know what you're all wondering, did I manage to squeeze a 90 minutes score into 3 tracks ? :P

That has been kind of the running gag.

Honestly a more traditional track breakup would be worth the price.

Pfft I'll be impressed when you squeeze 90 minutes into 1 track

Do you mean Eternal Father, Strong to Save? The hymn of the Royal Navy and the US Navy (hence why it’s used in Crimson Tide)?

If so, please don’t call it Roll Tide, if only because it isn’t.

The OST album had a track called Roll Tide, that contained the end credits cue, which includes EF,STS as part of it.

I saw the movie again on YouTube back in July. There are 17 music tracks heard in the movie. I can only imagine the alternate tracks, and the album versions to this score.  Looking so forward to this expanded release.  :)

(yes, 1SQ is one 18 min cue lol

How did Zimmer record that with the orchestra? Did they play the whole 18 minute-long piece? Or did they recorded it in smaller sections?

The Intrada description doesn't mention anything about new mastering, liner notes or art direction - is this a relatively bare bones release in that respect, or is it just an oversight?

Oh, I didn't even look at the details. Ordered!

(Looks.) Cool. Still ordered. 30 years. That's extraordinary.

(Looks at thread title.) It's says the seventh.

Intrada titles are always officially released on Tuesdays, but show up on their website Monday evenings after they are done shipping for the day

The movie came out in 1995? No way! So if true, it's been 30 years since I saw it. I just noticed it's on Disney Plus... I think I'll watch it again tonight - for the first time this century!

And I had no idea Aragorn was in it. From memory, there were just two peope in it: Denzel and Gene.

I like the presentation.

No short cues,  no duplicative OST material.😻👍

Actually, one short cue ! But it stands out enough to survive on its own ! haha

Wow, I'm stoked about this. One of the earliest scores I got into, and now here we have it. Thank you @Stéphane Humez and friends for this, and while I'm at it, thank you for bringing The Rock to life again. So good.

It's really been incredible getting these iconic 90's Zimmer scores, @Stéphane Humez     Wish you and your team the best in your continued work, it's much appreciated!

Second this Stephane! Hearing them in the 90’s and early 2000’s I always dreamed of these getting complete releases… and here we are! Keep on rolling! Fingers crossed for Hannibal and MI 2!
