This live to picture concert must be such a workout for the orchestra. There's so many technically difficult passages throughout for every section of the orchestra.

That location is an hour and a half away from my dad who lives in Maryland…I am extremely tempted to ask if he’d be willing to go and I can make a weekend trip up there to visit.

Is that the NSO's temporary home during the Kennedy Center renovations?

- Oh nevermind. Just noticed it's an outdoor venue. Kind of like the DC area's Tanglewood but probably with amplification. :/

That St. Louis performance looks mighty tempting... ;)

Wolf Trap has been the NSO's summer gag for over 40 years.  For over a decade, Wolf Trap does, at least, 3 LTP concerts each summer. @BobaMike can fill you in.

I'm planning on going to this....it'll be the only time to see and hear Hook in my lifetime I'm sure!   Wolf Trap is lovely....but sit under the canopy, not out on the hill.

Good to know. So is it kind of like Tanglewood?

Tickets went on sale today for Hook at Wolf Trap.  Got myself, the wife, and kid good seats.  My son has never seen the movie (although he's heard me play the score in the car often enough.)

This might be the earliest I've ever gotten tickets for something....it's not till Sep 5th!

It's great that the show is getting booked a lot, but at the same time it's sad that this wasn't done by Film Concerts Live, which would've guaranteed a supervision by Mike Matessino and likely the restoration of a few dialed out cues. Oh well.
