MrJosh 1,183 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 This live to picture concert must be such a workout for the orchestra. There's so many technically difficult passages throughout for every section of the orchestra. Brando and bollemanneke 2
Brando 2,730 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 That location is an hour and a half away from my dad who lives in Maryland…I am extremely tempted to ask if he’d be willing to go and I can make a weekend trip up there to visit. MrJosh 1

Just noticed it's an outdoor venue. Kind of like the DC area's Tanglewood but probably with amplification. :/ That St. Louis performance looks mighty tempting...

For over a decade, Wolf Trap does, at least, 3 LTP concerts each summer. @BobaMike can fill you in.
BobaMike 41 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I'm planning on going to this....it'll be the only time to see and hear Hook in my lifetime I'm sure! Wolf Trap is lovely....but sit under the canopy, not out on the hill. Brando 1

BobaMike 41 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Tickets went on sale today for Hook at Wolf Trap. Got myself, the wife, and kid good seats. My son has never seen the movie (although he's heard me play the score in the car often enough.) This might be the earliest I've ever gotten tickets for something....it's not till Sep 5th! Brando 1

Maurizio 6,831 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 It's great that the show is getting booked a lot, but at the same time it's sad that this wasn't done by Film Concerts Live, which would've guaranteed a supervision by Mike Matessino and likely the restoration of a few dialed out cues. Oh well. Jay and Brando 1 1
Dr. Rick 1,346 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 https://fwsymphony.org/concerts-tickets/26-27-season/specials/hook-in-concert Sweet! My son and I saw ESB at this location in Ft. Worth, it's a beautiful concert hall. I will definitely be seeing this in December!!!
Popular Post Brando 2,730 Posted February 27 Popular Post Posted February 27 Got two tickets for me and my dad, who’s never been to one before (I’ve seen ANH and ESB), this is going to be so much fun. Wall to wall music for most of the runtime is going to be excellent. Dr. Rick, crocodile and Groovygoth666 2 1
