Popular Post Caldera Records 28 Posted October 10, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 10, 2025 Dear friends, Stephan from Caldera Records here. Hallo. Every three years, something wonderful happens: I publish a book. (I am aware the world is burning, but one has to be grateful for the small things. What else do we have?) On October 16, Bloomsbury will publish my latest non-fiction book, "A DREAM COME TRUE - The Collaboration of David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti." With this work, a collage that bridges the gap between academic analysis and investigative journalism, I celebrate one of the most fascinating working relationships between a film director and a composer. The book analyses David Lynch the filmmaker through the lens of Angelo Badalamenti's music via extensive creative biographies of both, in-depth investigations into how the individual music pieces and scores came to be, how they were altered and changed during the editing process, and what clues both music and sound design can give to unlock the mysteries of individual works. You'll find more information on Bloomsbury's homepage: https://www.bloomsbury.com/us/dream-come-true-9798765129043/ The book will also be available on Amazon US: https://www.amazon.com/Dream-Come-True-Collaboration-Badalamenti/dp/B0DQG82DKM/ Marian Schedenig, Jay and Edmilson 3

Caldera Records 28 Posted December 10, 2025 Author Posted December 10, 2025 If anyone is unsure whether to purchase the book, this video might be helpful. A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by Oscar-nominated composer Gary Yershon (“Mr. Turner”) about my book, A DREAM COME TRUE, at the Garden Cinema in London: mstrox and GerateWohl 2
GerateWohl 6,395 Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Great and insightful interview. Thank you for sharing! Of course I have to mention that in the end you mixed up The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. In Tim Greiving's John Williams biography it is mentioned that Lynch refused the job for Jedi because he neither wanted to work with John Williams nor with Ben Burtt.
Jurassic Shark 16,053 Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Poor guy. Did JW tell this himself to Tim?

Hopefully I said it with enough connfidence to fool the audience into believing I'm right. That works most of the time. GerateWohl 1
