Xander Harris 8,696 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 We’re working on it. I need all the help I can get.
Xander Harris 8,696 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 JW’s “cameo” as a Borg was awful, although far from the low point of that POS movie and trilogy. He didn’t even get a doll made. Pathetic considering they’ve made everyone else including the extra running with an ice cream maker and Jabba’s fat six-breasted dancer. Goldsmith had far superior cameos.

Naïve Old Fart 12,301 Posted October 28 Posted October 28 JW is 'working with Steven Spielberg'. What's he doing? Making the tea? This really doesn't mean much. I'd be happier if the announcement said: 'John Williams is composing the score'. Jurassic Shark 1

Richard P 5,007 Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It certainly sounds like it was known to anyone who works in the industry or has contacts - but that would apply to many assignments and happenings. So, JW's final film score won't be The Fabelmans afer all. My thinking prior had been that he's capable of the basic writing workload, but no one should be subjecting a 93-year old to the normal stress and schedule of a movie.

I don't do 'implying', not do I have a 'degree in English Literature' (whatever that means). It's the fact that it hasn't been confirmed, that bothers me. Every announcement says something like: "X has been assigned to compose the score", or "X will compose the score". That has not been stated, in this case. I hope he scores it, I really do, but I want to know far more details, before I breathe out. johnmillions, Jurassic Shark and Richard P 3
Popular Post Amer 2,669 Posted October 28 Popular Post Posted October 28 If you all remember, right after his statment post some interview that he was going to retire; it was Williams himself stated publicly that Spielberg is making another movie and 'you cant just say No to that' or something like that. So it seemed only logical to assume that there would be yet another collaboration. Now it is semi official but once the film's PR team starts the ball rolling we will see the final confirmation. Or as Maurizio has stated that this news was not supossed to come out this early. We should wait for the formal confirmation from the studios etc. Leia Sees Ghosts, Naïve Old Fart, Paul M.
