That is awesome!

Amazing, a fitting tribute considering that countless memories have been formed over the decades by people listening to his music there.

But you knew it was him, right? We'd notice that hair anywhere!

It’s always a pleasure to see John Williams, even though he still seems a little frail, yet still fit enough to attend this kind of event. Bravo, maestro!

How did I not spot Dreyfuss?? Shame on me!

By the way, I still say he would've been a good choice to do the audiobook of the biography.

Dreyfuss became your shark.

Unrelated thought: wonder if he's in the new movie.

That is such a cool honor!

Can't wait to get a picture of that next year!!!

Is this an error?

Williams first took the Bowl podium in 1978, stepping in on short notice for ailing house conductor Arthur Fiedler while on a break from scoring “Superman,”

Like Seth Brundle.

Hey Seth McFarlane was there. Did anyone ask him where the hell Season 4 of the Orville is?

Maybe he was waiting for this opportunity to ask Williams to score for it... :)

The Plaque is for something different not related to Williams.

In an earlier ceremony, they named the steps leading up to the stage after Andre Previn.....

Sadly I feel like Andre has been forgotten....however I feel like he would have been sarcastically thrilled to have steps named after him....

Though I feel like the vip's who attend these types of ceremonies either have a lot to do or would rather spend their time elsewhere instead of sitting there listening to hot air being blown around.

Spielberg appears to be a little overdressed: Layers of tweed upon layers of tweed...and a suede cap. Less “director chic,” more tenured professor who stumbled out of a 1930s lecture hall and directly into the Battle of Syrakus...

That is really great! Well-deserved honor. The Maestro looks good. Nice to see his wife was there as well; how sweet.

I wish the posted video had sound, though. :(

I spotted Tom Hooten in the video - any other names people here might know?

I humbly apologize!  There is another plaque close to that location for something completely unrelated.  I saw that plaque and assumed it was the other one.

Apologies!
