tpigeon 3
That's a very good question, one that I have been asking for the last six years. There is a nice little heroic moment representing Eddie pulling the trailer back up, followed by some terrifying and incredible music for when the two Rexes emerge from the foliage, one moment that gives me chills time and time again. The non-thematic melody that Williams wrote for it is perfect, and I just love the fact that its played primarily by the chimes.Unfortunately, this is something that happens quite a bit with Williams soundtracks, which is very annoying. Another notable missing cue right in the middle of a piece is the great music that should have been in Belly of the Steel Beast from IJ and the LC. Truly a shame, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who is so upset over these kind of things.Ted, returning from a posting hiatus
King Mark 2,924
this is why we need complete scores releases.Even if you dont need ALL the cues in the film, your sure to get all the ones you want.K.M.who's headphone cord just snapped(@#$!) Incanus 5,519
I have been wondering that myself! That cue Rescuing Sarah was one of my favourites in the whole score of the Lost World and the chime section on the cue is awesome. Williams and other composers do have a habit of putting edited cues(Patriot, Last Crusade and LOTR soundtracks come to mind) and strangely enough alternates on the score albums . It is a frustrating experience to hear a cue that sounded so great in the film edited or replaced with an alternate on the album.
