Jay 45,144 Posted December 16, 2025 Author Posted December 16, 2025 The official press release tells us all the producers but not a word about the composer If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to 7 billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day. Universal Pictures is proud to release a new original event film created and directed by Steven Spielberg. The film stars SAG winner and Oscar® nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place), Emmy and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor (Challengers, The Crown), Oscar® winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Kingsman franchise), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, The Perfect Couple) and two-time Oscar® nominee Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Rustin). Based on a story by Spielberg, the screenplay is by David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Combined, those films earned more than $3 billion worldwide. Koepp also wrote the script for this 2025’s Jurassic World Rebirth. Disclosure Day is produced by five-time Academy Award® nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger (The Fabelmans, West Side Story) and by Spielberg for Amblin Entertainment. The executive producers are Adam Somner and Chris Brigham. Steven Spielberg is one of the industry’s most successful and influential filmmakers. The top-grossing director of all time, Spielberg has helmed such blockbusters as Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones franchise and Jurassic Park. Among his myriad honors, he is a three-time Academy Award® winner, including Oscars® for Best Director and Best Picture for Schindler’s List, which received a total of seven Oscars®, and for Best Director for Saving Private Ryan. His most recent film, The Fabelmans, was released by Universal in 2022 and received seven Academy Award® nominations, including for Directing, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Picture. King Mark 3,907 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 ooh this has the potential for a grand JW score. Now I'm excited about it and the trailer looks good. I'm a little worried there's no mention of JW in the press release and this is generic trailer music not by him either. Jurassic Shark and Paul M. Grenon 2

JohnnyD 1,746 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Wow... This looks amazing. While I am a bit disappointed that we did not get a taste of the Maestro's score in this teaser trailer, I am also kind of glad we did not. It builds up anticipation further. I cannot wait to see this film on the big screen, Dolby Cinema and/or IMAX!. This is THE film I am most looking forward to seeing in 2026. Paul M. Grenon and Will 2
BB-8 5,944 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 At any rate, I'm now no longer forced to buy a ticket for Avatar just to see this teaser... It seems like part of my dream (nightmare) has come true: "The guy QC-ing the trailer turned out to be a music student on a short-term scholarship. For some reason, he took me along to a cinema to watch the new preview. It opened with extended synthesizer chords, and I felt a wave of disappointment when I realized there was no Williams music. Then, suddenly, the “Ark Theme” from Raiders burst out as the camera panned across towards a cinema auditorium filled with colorful pop-art witches and Pirates of the Caribbean–style figures, all staring at their smartphones. I asked the QC-ing guy why they had chosen this theme instead of the Emperor’s Theme from Star Wars. He explained that there had been copyright issues, and that the Indiana Jones franchise offered more contractual flexibility. Moments later, the doors swung open and troops of “Men in Black” stormed in, snatching the devices from the crowd - except from those who had earplugs wired into the film itself. I woke up wondering whether Spielberg had ever made a “film within a film.” Of course, he had: The Fabelmans..."

Popular Post BB-8 5,944 Posted December 16, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 16, 2025 Sony's press release (to go with @Mr. Hooper's prize-winning cover design) Step into the sonic universe of legendary guitarist John Williams like never before! The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated epic Disclosure Day arrives in Dolby Atmos - exclusively for Disney+ and Apple subscribers. Because, a true legend deserves true exclusivity! No CD. No vinyl. No cassette: In our enlightened streaming age, physical media is passé. For ecological reasons (and because your wife insists the shelf space is better used for plants), there will be no physical release. But every streamed note counts. Each song you hear contributes to something greater: Maestro Williams will donate his entire royalties to the Great Ocean Forest Foundation, ensuring that while you can’t own the soundtrack personally, at least Yo Yo Ma get's his encore. Tom 6,387 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 My guess is that an alien is possessing her at that moment. The aliens will, of course, turn out to be friendly. Or, maybe she just sucks at being a meteorologist. crumbs 1

Popular Post Tom 6,387 Posted December 16, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 16, 2025 There's a chance that everything in the trailer happens in the first 15 minutes and an unexpected and original movie follows. However, I doubt it. I think what we see is what we get with some not all that surprising twist in the final act. I am treating this like I did the SW sequels. A movie whose chief function is to provides Williams with a canvas for great music. If the film is any good, so much the better. Marc, Paul M. Grenon, bruce marshall and 3 others 5 1
