Just saw the new look at the film. No music from the film utilized, but I don’t mind; I actually prefer to wait for the film itself.
 

This looks incredible; I’m loving the intrigue and mystery behind this, and so much of a canvas the Maestro is able to work on. June 11th can’t come sooner!

Judging by the latest look at the film, Maestro John Williams has a great canvas to go by. Since this is quite a substantial score, we are in for a real treat. June 11th can’t come sooner!

They’ve been playing a variation of his theme almost every ad break. Even if you don’t hear the melody playing, you can tell it’s a hip pop backing for it.

Sadly that's highly likely. Else the trailer would have shown "Music by John Williams" at the end.

The way trailers are packaged these days makes it very unlikely they use actual score from the film itself.

Looks somewhat WotW or MR-like, maybe even Signs.

 

Which makes me recall JNH's Signs score, which is a masterclass in a 'tone' score with ambience and tense emotion. I'm not sure this area of scoring is entirely to JW's strengths - perhaps there is more room for some fanfares or strong adventure scoring than this trailer lets on.

 

But whatever we get, it's a new score, and to be welcomed.

I like how David Koepp said "Spielberg working in a tone he hasn't done in awhile" and everybody assumed "ET/CE3K" when he might have actually meant "AI/Minority Report" lol. I'd love a new one of those from Spielberg/Williams, though.

Hm, I think the ties with CE3K are somehow evident from what's been shown so far. It's the visual style that is definitely 21st century Spielberg.
