Though I question the general effectiveness of such tactics currently, I've heard enough horror stories regarding the use of someone's voice for nefarious purposes with AI cloning that I'm always going to be concerned over some company keeping all this data for future use. Especially when it's so easy for someone to just do it with enough cash and vigor. Just one phone call recording might be enough to pull it off.

I get the reason it was taken down honestly, I was actually planning on removing it myself after today anyway!

 

Unfortunately I went to bed after my last comment in the thread so I didn't get to see what transpired after that (although I did get a couple DMs so I can imagine what happened next) otherwise I would've removed it much sooner.

 

My apologies to anyone whose voices I used without their permission, particularly @Maurizio and Mike! I did this exact same thing a couple years ago for April Fools but I suppose that was before all the privacy issues regarding this sort of thing came into the public's eye so it doesn't resonate in the same way it did just a few years ago. Suffice to say it won't happen again.

 

It was meant in good fun, I really didn't mean to piss anyone off! 😭
