Help for wedding music selection please

Hello everyone,

in less than 6 weeks I will attend my own wedding.
I thought I would easily find some nice JW music to be used during the topic moments, however I cannot find the ultimate solutions.
I am also open to non-Williams options if I have to.
I need music for 6 specific moments, as I will attend two different ceremonies in two different days.

Day one: a bit less formal, far less people attending (only close families),  the actual legal wedding in the city council's big room.

I need three tracks:
1- the entrance of the bride and the groom

2: the rings exchange

3: the exit

 

I had thought about The throne room for 1, the binary sunset for 2 and Cantina band for three thinking there would be people chatting and drinking, however my wife-to-be thinks the Binary sunset is too iconic and recognizable, cantina band is too informal and the throne room is too "fanfare"...
Now we are thinking about Air on the G string for the first track, possibly a solo cover (violin maybe?).

 

Day two, the big event, about 100 people attending.

2: the entrance of our 6 year old daughter

3: The entrance of the bride.

I had thought for 1 the Planet Krypton, for 2 Hymn to Joy by Beethoven and for 3 Love theme from Superman. These seem to work a bit better however we are still not 100% sure.
 

Please give me some advice, also outside JW's repertoire if it's worth it. We are happy to consider covers as well.

The 'Love Theme' as the bride enters would be lovely. 'The Planet Krypton' might be a tad too epic-y for my taste—especially when that crescendo hits... I think I'd ham it up and place my hands on my hips after I reached the altar. lol

It probably be too much, but I always thought a piano arrangement of The Throne Room without the Force Theme would work for groom entrance as a slightly humorous thematic connection with Mendellsohns Wedding march.

My own wedding featured a ton of JW music. For background music prior to the start of the ceremony, I chose this hour long playlist of JW piano covers:

 

 

For the entrance of the bride's maids, I chose The Fabelmans.

 

 

 

For my own entrance, I chose a cover of the Love Theme from Superman played by a string quartet.

 

 

All the music worked really well and people wouldn't even necessarily know it was JW music unless they were fans. I didn't want big orchestral music because we had a relatively small ceremony and wanted music that sounded more intimate.

I recommend the one found on Silva Screen's compilation album 'Ghost - Classic Fantasy Film Music Volume 2,' as performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic. It's a more subtle rendition.

My wife specifically requested Throne Room for her walking down the aisle (recreating childhood play memories!) and Raiders March for our exit. To my everlasting shame on this forum, I turned down both.

 

But to address your specific situation, if Binary Sunset is too iconic and recognisable, surely Air on G string is, too? How about an ASM arrangement, to tick the solo violin box? Sabrina? Marion's Theme?

 

There is a semi-tradition (in the UK, at least) of the bride entering to The Prince of Denmark's March by Jeremiah Clarke and the married couple leaving to what is usually just called Trumpet Tune in D by Henry Purcell. Might be worth a listen.

Strange way to phrase this, but congratulations!

 

I also wanted to play film music at my wedding, and found it to be harder than expected to find appropriate music.  The reason being that a lot films cover characters trying to reach a goal, not just reveling in a happy place.  So a lot of love themes are not really just pure happiness, they have a "yearning" or "not there yet" feel to them, which weren't emotions we were looking for, you know?

I still found a bunch of stuff.  We played "The Milanese Nightingale" from Tintin for our introduction into the reception hall, and here's our dinner playlist which had a lot of film music
