Unknown date: FilmMusicReporter.com includes "Disclosure Day" on their "Upcoming Soundtracks" page with a release date of June 12.  No source is provided, and it could simply be the assumed date since the film opens on that day.

 

 

May 26th: Universal Picture releases a promotional video titled "Emily Blunt On Disclosure Day" that includes the text "Soundtrack on Back Lot Music / Mondo Music" at the end of the video

 

 

 

Also May 26th: The user "digital_junkie" posts the following on Threads: "Composer John Williams soundtrack for Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day will drop on digital streaming services June 19th. A limited edition vinyl album release is coming from @mondonews".

 

 

May 27th: Universal Pictures releases the film's Final Trailer, which includes the same text block at the end.

 

 

 

May 30th: FilmMusicReporter tweets that a soundtrack announcement is "Coming Next Week".  Attached to the tweet is this cover art:

 

 

June 2nd: JWFan user @Chewy discovers the official link tree for the album, which has the same cover art.  Pre-saving the album on Spotify reveals that the Pre-Save will not be active there until Friday, June 5th, indicating a likely album release of Friday, June 12th or Friday, June 19th.

Apparently this June 19th release date for the OST album has been on the internet since Tuesday, even though I only just saw it shortly before starting the thread.  I came across a post in the Intrada Soundtrack Club group on Facebook where two different posters referenced a June 19th release date, which I thought was odd since the film opens on June 12th.  So I did some googling, and came across that Threads post that I put in the main post.  I couldn't find any other references to it, but maybe somebody else will find something more concrete.

 

If the OST album isn't coming out until June 19th, that will be the first John Williams OST album to not be available either on the same day that the film opens or earlier since.... well, I don't know when!  Who wants to research this?

That's a good point. I've been used to the soundtrack releasing the same day as the film. I'm fine either way, as I will be seeing the film multiple times in theaters.

It’s actually not that odd.

 

The last time excerpts from the Maestro’s score was used in a trailer for Steven Spielberg’s film was Lincoln. The BFG, The Post and The Fabelmans did not use excerpts from their respective scores for the trailers.

In regards to score releases, they have been usually released prior to the film. Not just Williams.

It seems like this information is coming from a place that we should be able to find, like some official Back Lot page of some sort, or a Back Lot employee who comments on other social media posts, or something along those lines.  But I haven't been able to find it.
